49 Jun 17 Reply I think you were on to something. I cropped a little tighter and also removed the yellow cat tail immediately behind the head. Jun 24th
49 Jun 17 Comment Nice concept but there is way too much noise and the white objects on the left are very distracting. It might look better on a smaller screen like an iPhone but enlarged is a no go. Jun 21st
49 Jun 17 Comment A lot of the extra stuff in the image bothered me visually. Part of the right ear was cut off. I tried removing the green tag and clip but there was still too much that was not clear. I used the healing brush to remove a lot of extras that competed for the eyes attention. Then I decided to crop to just below the chin. I adjusted in levels to brighten the image and also darkened the left eye.
This is the beautiful face of a dog and that is my version of your image.

49 Jun 17 Comment I think you chose well with the B&W. Great contrast in the clouds, dark lines of trees merging with the lighter colored fields present an interesting image. Jun 21st
49 Jun 17 Comment Your color combinations(greens, purples and light browns) work well together. I might have chosen a higher f stop as there ate a couple of areas in the image that are not as sharp as the rest. Jun 21st

52 Jun 17 Reply I was within 8 to 10 feet of this bird. Jun 22nd
52 Jun 17 Comment Wonderful image. Sharpness of the bird, the coloration and clarity are right on. I can see what the others are talking about with the post but I wouldn't darken it too much.
As John said enter it.

52 Jun 17 Comment Nice concept. I do think that the overall image is too bright, washed out and not enough detail is in the flower itself. There is an isolated green blip on the center top that should be removed. I also agree that the leaf on the right side should be cropped. One other concern I see is the stem. It appears to have a ghost around it being greatest as it leaves the image. Jun 21st
52 Jun 17 Comment Wonderful image. Great colors, detail and sharpness. I love the sharp details and colors in feathers, eyes and open beak where you can even see it's tongue. Surrounding look very natural and you would not know this image was shot at an Audubon Raptor Center. Jun 21st
52 Jun 17 Comment Lisa, I too had a tough time trying to figure out what this was. I think both Mike's and Sharon's comments and suggestions have some merit. I do like the area at the back of the tunnel but it is hard to tell if this is a wet area or a small collection of rain water forming a pool. There are some nice details in the rocks that are in the foreground forming the tunnel. Jun 21st
52 Jun 17 Comment Beautiful bird! You have captured great colors and tonality in it. The feathers are sharp and clear with great detail. I believe you cropped the feeder correctly and the sky color does not need to change. The extended tongue is great addition and the wings suggest movement but enough detail remains. As Mike said it is had to believe this was at 1/1000 of a second. Jun 21st
52 Jun 17 Comment I think you have a wonderful image here. I feel that the bird on the far right is a little bit soft. On my monitor I can see it in the eye (not as sharp as the other 2 birds), under the chin and the rump area. Knowing you are a perfectionist in both copies I see a very thin straight line running from the top of the image down several inches. This is above the right birds back outstretched wing (about center wing and up a little). I love the colors, tonality and even the insect markings on the branch they are perched on. Jun 21st
