This image has a lot of depth and thought and reflection and symbolism.
I like the skulls and bones, but to me the words seem out of place, especially after reading your wanting her to have decisions.
I thought that the headstones were also doors until reading your description, they do not seem to add to your story, for me they seem too much.
I like the door, and the little light coming from the windows on the top of the door, but am confused that she is supposed to choose the sanctity of the church or the lure of the light from the path, as to me going to the light would be the same choice as the church.
Perhaps make the church call to her equally as the path, to signify her choice.. |

I love the use of the transform warm to bring the room back. The fact that the ma's world is in black and white and he is wheel chair bound, while the peeled back part is in color adds a lot to the story.
What a powerful image and concept! Your reflection on the man in the wheelchair highlights the intersection of accessibility and art. It's fascinating to think about how the audio recording serves as a bridge, allowing him to experience the artwork in a richer way despite the monochrome visual.
This piece challenges conventional views on experiencing art but also invites viewers to reflect on their own perceptions and the ways we engage with our surroundings.
What inspired you to create this piece in particular?
Perhaps try to add to the right side for a little more space, and the man's hand appears a little deformed and magenta. |

I missed you, lol, glad that you are back as your muse!
I love the image, the colors and the light that hits your shoulder.
Cool that you are turning on the machine, perhaps use the 'etch' filter to make the handle a little more three dimensional so it looks like you are grabbing it. |

Thank you Brian, I always enjoy reading your poetic interpretations of our images, you have a mastery not only of photography, but also of the written word! |

Yes, it was an Escher like endeavor.
There was actually not a lot to creating it, other than knowing before I arrived that I wanted a big variety of images, including multiple exposure varieties, as I went here for the staircase.
This was a simple in-camera multiple exposure. I was photographing RAW, as always, but had set the camera to monochrome so that the internal JPG that displays on the back of the LCD would be BW. I took the first photo and then turned the camera upside down for the second in the ME. My camera allows me to see the "ghost" of the first image soI spent time aligning the :second staircase" like this.
You can see a HDR version of the staircase here https://psadigital.org/group44/image.php?iid=100787 |

Wonderful lighting and love the overall diagonal composition and the hoodoos. The tone mapping and exposures are well done. I cannot think of anything to improve it.

I just love the cool blue tones against the warmer brown tones. the composition works well, and the PS work was well done.
You mention junk yard, but Brad says Old car City, one of favorite places!
Just curious, since you have PS, not a complaint or criticism, just curious why Nik when ACR easily gives a dng file that then has all of the RAW editing abilities. |

It looks like it could be a postcard for them.
Glad to see that you are enjoying the EM1 mark iii and you did well with the 7-14mm lens,
The blend is well done, but sometimes HDR can make things too flat. Did you bring back the blacks by adjusting the black point? If so, then a little more contrast.

Neat image with more than one sphere! Th concept and subject matter (dandelion too) is very creative.
The dark tops of the sphere are not pleasing to me (the lighter tops of the dandelion sphere appeal to me more.
Th colors and tone mapping are well done. |

I was going to suggest warp as well to help with the horizon |

Neat when they stand this still for you, and it happens more often than one would think. I like to do hi-res (sensor shifting) for an 80-megapixel mage when they stand this still,
The tone mapping is well done, doesn't look HDR-ish,
There is a little halo or artifacts around the top of the head and beak, almost like a Gaussian blur was applied and then the subject masked in. |

I love the grey and rust and the bright red. The tone mapping is well done.
I agree about the lower far left being eliminated.
It is kind of esher-like, at first it looked like a vertical photo posted horizontally, until I saw the window. The supports on the left threw me. |

The circle at the top in the ceiling is where the light fixture used to be.
No distortion, none in-camera, none in post... |

Thank you all for your comments, I specifically went to this house because of the cool staircase.
It is unusual.
The image is not distorted in post, just three exposures tone-mapped in ACR, no PS. The 16mm FFEQ likely does not distort the image in camera either.
I am standing right at the railing, looking up. |

They make a great couple for a good story. You did a good job of making the background not distracting, perhaps tone it down just a tad saturation wise.
what is CRA? |

Wonderful framing of the green by the reeds! And the curves of the two long reeds are perfect.
To improve, perhaps a slightcrop taking off a tad from the bottom and from the left and toning down the bright yellow which seem to detract from the wonderful bird. |

I love the background. You did a great job of brightening the bird and highlighting it against the background. The feathers are sharp and have detail and there is a catchlight in the eye. |
