I tried removing the balloon part...I didn't like all of the negative space at the top after the balloon was removed, so I cropped it too.
Thanks for the suggestion |

Yes, pro-capture has been in Olympus cameras for many years and I am happy to see the computational technology appearing in other systems. Olympus added pro-capture to the EM1 mark II in 2016. Fuji added pre-shot in like 2019, but it was a well keep secret until recently. Reading DPreview you see so many comments like "why isn't PRE-SHOT ES talked about more" "To reduce the lag between your pressing the shutter button all the way down and the resulting picture being recorded to the memory card, the camera starts shooting with the electronic shutter when the shutter button is pressed halfway and saves a series shots starting just before the shutter button is pressed the rest of the way down.
For the Nikon Z our workshop participants told us that pre-curst only works for 0.3-1.0 second before the shutter is pressed and only yields 11mp JPGs, but it is a start.
Fuji and Olympus are also easy to access the pre mode, but the Nikon setup is on the complicated side. www.photoartfromscience.com/single-post/nikon-z9-pre-release-capture-shooting-guide |

Thank you
The computational technology just makes it easier, people were photographing balloons full of water with film, and here is an article using the Canon 40D, pro-capture makes it easier and makes your "hit rate" much higher

Love the idea, it never occurred to me, as I wanted the balloon popping over the water.

night from day -- the LUTs are fun to play with, and you can even create your own from movies. |

I like the story and composite elements. The lue toning and the music sheets and the moon all work for me. Even the "audience" with the two pairs of gulls far and near, watching like spectators or fans, works.
But she seems cut out, her coloring would not be that tonality or that bright had she been standing there.
I used a lookup table to make the elements gel together. A color blend mode could work too, but the lookup table night from day is my favorite and I knew to try it here. |

I forgot to mention that the popping of the balloon was captured using the computational technology called pro-capture, where you focus and press the shutter halfway, and then when you finally press the shutter the images before you tripped the shutter, which were in memory, are also captured. Taken using the OM1 cma |

wait, where's Tom??
LOL
I like the flow and the read left to right and the leading line, a"C"
The only thing I would do is tone down the lighthouse

"freeing art from the dead weight of the real world"
wow deep, most images are just pretty pictures.
The colors and elements are pleasing and intriguing -- the two skinny long vertical are the only thing that seems out of place to me, almost cutting the image in two.
interestingly, I read this "how I rearranged them in the submission" (this creation) as "how I rearranged them into submission" (compliance) |

this is sooo cool! I love it.
And the title and the skeleton riding towards us rather than away from us makes the title really works!
The light in front of the headlight and the headlight could use some tweaking, but this is wonderful@ |

dramatic and storytelling, love it. Max you get to the best places! And what a great time of year with the foliage. Not everyone remembers to take the overview. Kudos. The tone mapping is well done, although Rick's suggestion about the bright parts of the sky are good suggestions.
I personally would take some off of the bottom, but this is just wonderful. |

What a great building! Dramatic. How did you ever leave, I would want to stay for hours!
"I had to use Generative Fill to remove four people in the foreground leaving the two people at the end of the corridor."
perfect use of Generative Fill -- and you could have waited long enough for people to leave (or you could have taken many images and stacked them using median and made everyone disappear and then just mask back in those that you wanted. |

I love the shades and patterns. What a great subject matter!
You removed the background, but it seems stark, perhaps duplicating the layer, changing the blend mode to lighten.
then I contoured the pumpkins, like people do with makeup using two soft light blend modes, and topped it off with Nik Glamor Glow and detail extractor and darkened edges. |

I love the lines! The contrast and detail in the rocks is lovely!
To my eyes the white of the left side of the lighthouse is overexposed a tad, but overall the tone-mapping, compositions and scene are wonderful |

Glad that you got to travel!
This is where I wish we could see the four exposures.
The tone mapping is done very well.
Too bad it is cut off, but amazing that it stood so still for you to capture so many frames. |

great action! I love experiences like this.
Well captured and I like how you flipped it in post.
The re-edit is even better. |

wow, love these, but I am also envious as we do not have these wonderful birds here in the US
Great lighting and action and the birds are sharp. They are interacting with each other which adds to their story.
I do like the edit by Richard to make the left less distracting.

I love Carolina wrens and your images shows their spunk well! The colors are nice and the bird is sharp.
I do wish that the shutter had been tripped when it was facing you just a tad more rather than away from you.
perhaps flipping it would read more left to right, rather than the tail leading the viewer's eyes out of the frame. |

Yes, We watched the entire sequence, very surprised that he was able to swallow it, it took a long time! I have seen other GBH and egrets attempt this only to give up, but this one swallowed the whole thing. Makes you very happy that we have forks and knives and thumbs, lol.
I do not know how long that one meal would last. |

love the pouch, what a cool angle with good interest.
Such an unusual image! Definitely worth the extra editing. I tried to select subject and edit the original, but the resolution was too low because of PSA size requirements. I would love to try with the RAW file. I think you can eliminate the halos and the rest of the boat (down to the feet area of course) |

Love this!
The texture and dimensionality and the tone of light interplaying with the shapes are peaceful eye candy for the soul. I agree with Priscilla, I want to touchit. |
