I saw this in the all images (love this new addition to the DDs!) -- and I thought that it was sand dunes. Great graphic quality to it |

I love finding everyday objects for backgrounds and textures. Very creative, the flower details are great and the image has a wonderful feel to it. |

wonderful image!
Costa Rica in high on my travel list (once we can do safely travel like that again)
leaf in, we read left to right, so we go in the branch and up the body and down the beak and to the leaf, which take us back to the branch and back to the bird. w/o the leaf we would more easily leave the frame, the leaf creates a visual circular pattern keeping us in the frame. |

I love the concept, very cerebral. I like topaz for effects like this, used to love fractalius, but Topaz is more versatile.
I like Jen's slide reduction in opacity for the water and your son.
Also, I would flip it so that the boy is looking into the scene, adds a leading line and sends more of a message of hope... |

I love OCC! This is a great capture and tone mapping and crop.
The cats eyes add to the image
I do like Rick's idea of moving him to the driver's seat
wonder if content aware move would do that ? |

wow!
This has a lot of impact! I love the sun and the steam
The verticals are strong, from the trees to the people
The placement of people is perfect too
The only thing I would suggest to improve is content aware the stick that is vertically right next to the couple.
The tone mapping is awesome and thank you for the details of your edit.
"I'm finding using the Divide blend mode as yet another way to resolve color shift I don't like."
I am using blend modes all the time, but have only used divide for creative use, not for color shifts -- do you have any resources on using divide for color shifts? |

in ACR I removed the purple from the grass
(-100 purple and +8 red to make up for the slight loss after the purple removal) |

I really did not do anything in post except remove some magenta from the grass (-100 purple and +8 red to make up for the slight loss after the purple removal) |

I love the blue color and what a neat tree. Glad that you stopped and saw its potential, even on the other side of the fence. The branches look like hands leading you into the tree.
The tree seems a tad oversharpened or over contrasty? and it looks like you might have tried to clone out some of the right branch? |

It is an interesting tree! Does the Sony LCD swivel out? I have taken some cool tree images by holding the camera down and looking thru the flipped out LCD |

I would love to see a BW full spectrum and a BW IR side by side of a closeup of a few leaves! |

I love how the leaves have such cool patterns on them! Very nice!
I wish that the shadow was not across the top and the bright top left is very bright -- perhaps big diffuser would help?
thank you for supplying lots of details, including white balance, so we can all learn. |
