in photoshop add two new layers
change the blend mode of one layer to soft light
-- use the brush and paint at maybe 20% opacity using black, you can paint more than once to darken. This is the best way to "burn"
change the blend mode of one layer to color
-- use the brush and paint at maybe 20% opacity using a darker green color, you can paint more than once to build up color

love the placement, the swirls, the colors
please post the original
the main subject is pretty neat, the floating head on the left bothers me.
perhaps try to bring back a little of the drum too

I have note used liquify to create paint drops like this, very inspiring
I love the way you manipulated the feathers. Love the colors. I like the placement of the hummingbirds. The eyes are kind of disturbing, but that is good for modern art.

Thank you for describing the steps, information like that is what these DD groups are all about, very good!
I like the use of liquify on this -- adds interest
The stem is too bright for my eyes, I keep getting drawn back there, when I want the whimsical composition to lead me thru |

love it, wow, very creative!!
The celestial objects really added to this! where did you get the nebulae, etc?
The winged feathers really add a lot too!
The one thing I am unsure of is the women under his "junk" looking up at his "junk" |

Dragonflies are great!
Interesting capture and good placement of the little insect. The DOF is good for the feet but shallow overall, what was your aperture?
I am going to play with this in PS
Added some soft light and color blend modes |

interesting subject!
slows shutter speeds, so they let you use a tripod, wow.
The subject is interesting, the red dominates and then the yellow leads you through the back. I like all of the shapes and lines.
The whites in some areas (sign, front most beach ball, have gone gray...
and it looks like the roof is slightly caving, could transform it.

ooh, love this, the house, and the angle and the fact that you were down low -- enhances the composition.
improvement -- get rid of the dust spots and clean your sensor :-0) |

love the scene, would like to visit someday, wow.
The columns and stones look great, and your tonemapping worked well despite the moving people. Kudos to you and to Aurora. =2 would have put you at 1/30 sec for that exposure, wre you on a tripod? looks sharp either way.
I am not that the sky adds in this case. If it were mine I would be tempted to content aware fill out the two people in the back, the man walking away, and the person at the far column. The couple walking in are in a good position compositionsally and show scale. |

nice subject matter and tone mapping. The bright yellow and composition is especially pleasing on your blue sky day.
Sounds like the conductor was a lot of work, thanks for those details. I agree with keeping the power lines since the trolley needs those to run. I am glad that you mentioned that the green pole eas crooked IRL because it does kind of stick out weirdly.
The only thing I can think to improve is to add a little softlight into the headlight -- and to content aware fill out the shadows in the gravel of the poles and lines as they do not add/ |

I love all of the colors and neon!!
Definitely a different entry for you this month. 6400 ISO, 4 exposures, so you were on a tripod? or 1/1100 was the slowest of the four?
The tonemapping did a great job with the people, as they would have moved during the four exposures.
I would either like to see more or the people or less, the floating heads are kinda zombie apocolyps-ish, LOL
The right round candy kitchen sign, wish that there had been just a tad more there. |

love this image -- the yellow and blue are strong and add impact. The composition and framing of the car are wonderful! Topaz adds a grat deal by taking away distractions.
The dialogue going on between everyone just warms my heart, this is what these DD are here for. Getting feedback (and seeing things that perhaps we did not see).
Seems to me that the tree and the man could be easily added to the Topaz effect, along with the shadow bottom left.
one suggestion, turn your image upside down when you think that it is "finished" and little things often reveal themselves because the image is now an abstract and your brain does not just see what it expects to see...
Overall this imgae was well created and well edited -- ajd ha a lot of imapact! |

I like all of the strong vertical lines in the trees and the juxtaposition with the horizontal lines of the log.
To me the white bright foliage dominates the scene, it is overexposed and our eye draws us to the brightest parts of the image.
The trees also appear not straight to me.
I flipped it, straightened it, cropped it and darkened the light areas. |

Thanks Chan, please provide us with more details in the future, the more information that you provide, from camera settings to white balance to post-processing, and even why you chose the subject/composition and what the image means to you. |
