Thank you for all of the details. And this group is all about stretching yourself!
The liquifiy worked well
only suggestions are to make the stem go to the bottom and get rid of the hot spots on the center leaf |

wonderful concept and execution!! I like it in BW.
The only thing I would do is new layer, change blend mode to darken and remove the halo around his head and back
I like the window and the addins, the smoke behind him see a tad much, seems like the smoke would be in font, not behind him. |

Even before reading your description I though Van Gogh! Very effective.
I personally do not like the noise in the sky, perhaps oil filter or Topaz Glow to make that wavy.
The light on top of the pole is the brightest thing, tone it down or make it a starburst.
Add more space on the bottom -- content-aware fill added it nicely in one step |

I love this, very creative and powerful, yet it has a simplicity to it as well.
I love the light rays, cool that you used three very different photos for the composite.
The shadows make it. love the placement of the nuns |

Thanks.
When you shoot a vertical image you often get keystoning and/or distortion.
Shooting a vertorama also gives you a much larger, higher resolution image.
You could purchase an expensive tilt-shift lens, but this can be done using any lens. |

I love the way the path leads you right into the scene and leads you through the image. The trees on the left balance the negative space on the right.
I am not sure about the almost monochromatic yellow |

I love the tree and the colors and composition overall!
1/30 second -- were you on a tripod?
please include camera and lens and IR conversion, we have visitors that also want to know the specs.
only very small things could be done to improve...
--clone/crop tiny bits of trees in sky left side
-- small dot in sky left side between trees in the sky
--clone/crop small amount of blue sky in the trees on the right |
