Glad I gave you a different perspective, not that there is anything wrong with the original. My mentor in my camera club is real big on getting the horizon line correct. He can spot the smallest amount it is off. In self defense I have worked to get the same eye he has. As you noted it does make a difference. I never have done much dodging and burning but Matt Kastkloski does short webinars and had one on dodging and burning. He included a set of preset brushes for Lightroom which makes it real easy. I now dodge and burn on almost every image. |

A beautiful tulip with great colors. It really reminds me of spring. I agree with Bev that the light gray triangle in the lower right corner is a distraction and should be made the same darkness as the rest of the black background. I think the vase needs to be brightened a little to provide a solid base for the flower. Also, the edges on the bottom and right petals seem to be blown out and could be darkened a bit. |

The composition and colors are spot on, and the lighting provides the mood one would expect of a monastery. The only change I would make is to clone out the car and truck on the road. |

I like the colors and the feeling of spring the portray. I agree with Bev on the softness of the flowers and like her solution. I would add a vignette around the flower heard. |

I like the emphasis on the blue colors and the feeling of what is out on the water that we can not see. From a composition perspective, I would crop out the road in the foreground and the tree on the left side. This would also get the subject tree out of the center of the frame. The horizon line looks a little off. I also would do a little dodging on the tree behind the man so it has a little more detail. |
