I agree with you that changing the height of the camera is a good technique which I do not us often enough. In this case the balls were around a tree on a pedestal so the shot was more straight on. See image of the whole tree. I shot on a tripod with a zoom lens to focus on the balls. My original shot was on another day with the clouds in the sky. I really liked there reflection of the sky. |

A good conversion to a B/W. The tones are good but it looks a little flat to me.I agree with Abe that the tire is a distraction. Sorry his image did not post. With Abe's comment in mind I imported to LR and cropped the right side, which not only eliminated most of the tire but also moved your daughter out of the center of the image.I then went to PS CC and burned her arms and face to add a little contrast between her and the truck and to take some of the shine off her face. I then dodged her eyes to make them visible. My image also does not want to load int the comment area. Sorry. |

I like the lighting and the color. The composition is good but might be stronger if the stem came out of the left bottom corner making it a stronger diagonal line. I agree the boarder is a good idea and agree adding a pixel or 2 would increase visibility. I also would make the distance between the flower and the edge the same on the sides and top. |

Great colors and lighting. There seems to be a competition between the raindrops and the flower. The complementary colors of red and green are great and the patterns of the raindrops add interest.I think deciding which should be the dominant subject would make for a stronger image. A tried 2, one with the flower as the subject by cropping out some of the left and dodging the flower to make it pop more, or one of the raindrops as the subject by cropping from the right and taking out part of the flower. See if you like either. |

What a cutie. She fits in with the season and projects hope for the coming year. The colors and lighting is spot on and the composition is wonderful. The only thing I would change is a vignette especially on the top 2 corners. |

What caught my eye is the faces on the shoes. They really made me stop and think. They create a tension between them and hold my eye. The colors are good with the bright summer greens. It would be interesting to go back during other seasons and see how the changing seasons change the mood of the image. I like the cropping idea but think the top edge is a bit to tight on the image in your comment. |

Thanks. I agree it would make a great card, in fact it is my Christmas card for this year. Have a happy and safe holiday season. |
