I agree with you and I like your crop. I submitted this to this months competition in my photo club and the judge though the tour boat behind the bridge competed with the house for the subject. I think if I also removed it from your crop it would be stronger. Thanks for the comment. |

A wonderful family portrait. I agree with the comments on removing the dark spot to the right of grandpa's ear. The background needs to be blurred and darkened. I imported into Lightroom where I sharpened, and added a vignette. The thumbnail is attached. I think some work on the faces of grandpa and grandson should be done to make them sharper and pop a little. |

The image has the potential to be interesting, but the light background and the clogged black pull my eye away from the bug. Also, the cutting off of left front leg and the end of the wings reduce the impact of the image. I imported to Lightroom where I Adjusted the highlights, shadows, and sharpened. I the used the radial filter to darken the background. It is not perfect since the blacks are stilled clogged. The change is attached. See if you like it. |

A great flower shot with great color and lighting. As Abe points out the lack of sharpness does not detract. I am not a great fan of white vignettes and wonder if a dark vignette would help in bring out more of the detail in the flower. If you would not have mentioned the bug I would not have seen it. |

I like the image and its colorfulness. I agree with Abe about the background. Wonder if the flower was not so bright if the bug would stand out more. |
