25 Sep 19 Comment Great subject, color, and composition. I like the feel the image conveys, the viewer feels as though they a right next to you. I agree that the partial head of the lead sheep is a distraction, but I do not think turning it into a portrait helps since it takes away the flow of the movement from left to right. I assume all of the white dots are snow or sleet which I find distraction, especially since there is no accumulation on the road. The area with the legs of the sheep are blocked up black. I removed the snow in Photoshop CC and cropped and lightened the shadows in LR. The result is in the thumbnail. Sep 24th
25 Sep 19 Comment I like the image and the colors. The softness is an added bonus. I think the adjustment Stuart made are an improvement. What camera and settings did you use? Sep 24th
25 Sep 19 Comment The lighting and colors are great. I agree with the others that the missing top of the branch is a distraction. I thought you might be trying to use the U shape of the tree as a frame for the rocks. I took it into Photoshop CC and did a quick and dirty removal of the top to see what it might look like. I also cropped a bit. The result is in the thumbnail. It has some potential, but removing the top so it is not noticeable could be a lot of work. Sep 24th
25 Sep 19 Reply Thanks for the suggestion to go to B&W. My club has a B&W competition next spring and you motivated me to work on the image and enter it into the competition. Sep 24th
25 Sep 19 Reply Thanks for the comment. I did send a print to my daughter but do not know if she gave it to the boy. Sep 24th
25 Sep 19 Comment This is a good capture of something we see often. I like the color and composition, but the half shadow half sunlight is distracting. The sharpness is great. I agree with the comments of the other reviewers and your suggestion of moving to the right would solve the sunlight issue. The only other suggestion would to remove the 2 small green leaves along the top. Sep 24th
25 Sep 19 Comment Wonder full light, color and composition. I do not know what is causing the color change in the reflections, but you might be on the right track that the clouds are the cause. If you follow the darker area up into the clouds, the clouds below the lighter break are a little darker.

I agree with Abe that some cropping would help make it pop, but would go further. I cropped it as shown in the thumbnail. See if you like it.
