Thanks, I think it is a good improvement. My camera club has a faces competition in the fall and I plan to enter this image. |

Great composition and development of the composite. The colors are spot on and your daughter and son-in-law are sharp which helps draw the eye. The only change I would make is remove the building coming out of your daughters head. |

Great portrait of a great subject. The lighting is really good. The only distraction is the white circles in the background which could be easily cloned out. She does have wonderful eyes and you clearly have her undivided attention. I agree with Audrey that a bit more of the person holding her would be nice. |

Right on with a fun photo. Great composition and color. I too noticed the translucency, but I think that is actually what the grasshopper looks like when magnified. Just 2 nits, 1) the rib of the glass block should be straight vertical, and 2) the small part of a grasshopper on the lower left corner should be cloned out. You have a great eye for finding interesting images from everyday life. |

I like the color detail in the mushrooms. Composition is good but the lighting is a bit bright in the background. I think you could strengthen the vignette to tone the background down more, and the white leaf to the right of the top mushroom could be eliminated or selectively darkened. The same for the grasses in the lower left.
I wondered what it would look like if the image was rotated to make the tree trunk a true diagonal from top left to lower right. I did this in Lightroom along with enhancing the vignette. See thumbnail. |
