Great shot. The composition allows for the story to be told without cramping. This is helped by the wide screen format. The blurry background focuses the eye on the subject while allowing the falling snow to be seen. The overcast lighting helps create the mood, while the colors bring the eye to the subject. |

I like the composition, the geese have space to walk into and do not feel cramped. The subject is clear and is sharp. Did you soften just the background or the whole photo? The geese seem a bit grainy. Was it possible to lower the ISO?
The light is great, even creating some shadows of the geese. A different shooting angle may have allowed you to show more of the shadow. |

Wonderful color and the backlighting brings it out. As with most abstracts, there is no single subject. I agree with Audrey that the edges need to be worked a little and you may want to try a vignette to focus the eye more to the center. I do not know the the whites are blown out, but there seem a little bright. |

Nice composition and there is a clear subject. The lighting is from the right and creates some shadows on the statue. This could be enhanced by adding some contrast. The colors are bright but the flowers look a little over saturated. |

Wow nice shot. It is a great composition and there is no questions on what is the subject. The colors are great. I agree with the comments from Lona and Audrey. I am taking a critique class from the president of my camera club who judges at other clubs. One point he drives home is to always review your edges. Anything bright on the edge attracts the eye away from the subject. There are several of these on the right, left and bottom. I think Audrey's crop eliminated these. The tree tops are touching or almost touching the edge which draws the eye out of the photo. A little extra space would eliminate the issue and show more of the clouds.
I personally would like to see the whole photo sharp. |
