Wow great photo. The subject is not only the duck but its reflection. The composition is great as is the lighting and the color. Thanks for the details on the adjustments you made. |

The subject is great and you captured the action. Unfortunately it is not sharp. Were you using a tripod with shutter release? The composition is OK but I would reduce the top and left sides to further bring the viewers eye to the eagle and his/her catch. The lighting is a bit bright in the top, but the cropping would reduce some of that. The colors are good and changing the foreground water to blue helps a lot. I imported into Lightroom were I cropped the top and left side and a little on the right. I sharpened and reduced noise, and adjusted the highlights and shadows. See the thumbnail. |

Great subject and his face it real sharp. The composition suffers from the loss of his right hand. If it could have been included it would have moved him a bit off center and strengthened the photo. The lighting is a bit bright in the background and toning it down would help. I like the blurry far background and the contrasting brown and blue colors. Darkening the browns may be one way to reduce the brightness. |

Great subject and good composition. The lighting is a bit stronger in the areas around the subjects, I would try a vignette to tone it down a little. Colors are great. You could experiment with cropping in the bottom and both sides to emphasize the subject more. |

I really like this photo. I agree with Darin, the little boy is the subject and makes the photo. The fact you took this as an HDR really brings out the little boy. The off center placement of the buggy adds interest and provides room to the front of the buggy to show motion. The HDR lighting is good, especially compared to the original thumb nail. Colors are good. In addition to Audrey's change, I would eliminate the fence post just above the top right of the buggy along with the fence post and wire coming out of the top left corner of the buggy. |

This is a real interesting shot and also a post processing challenge. The subject is obviously the butterfly, the composition is almost straight down, the colors are great but the whites on the wings look blownout, and the light is OK. I think you got a good start in post processing, but some additional tweaks will help. 1) Crop in some more to remove the 2 white flowers close to the left edge (light color along the edge always attract the eye) and a bit on the bottom; 2) reduce the highlights to remove the blownout whites; 3) add a vignette to darken down the background; and 4) sharpen using the sharpening mask in Lightroom. I did these steps in Lightroom. See the thumbnail. see if you like it. |
