I have a web site which is woefully out of date. Updating it is on the list of things to do. You can view what is there at www.eschweitzer.net. |

I agree the color version also looks good and gives a different feel. The motivation of b&w was my club competition this month, which was b&w. It took a honorable mention in the advanced print category. I do a book of each of my trips and will use the color version along with others of Angkor Wat. |

Great capture, there must not have been any wind for everything to be in focus. I like the cloning but there is 1 reed that touches the folded left wing that a quick clone would give separation. I agree with Audrey that the reeds tend to pull the eye away from the bird. I think this is a good candidate for a square photo. It is easier to get away with the subject in the middle if the photo is square. I also would like to see a little more detail on the belly. I made these adjustments, the result is in the thumbnail. |

A good first attempt. The focus issue has been discussed above, I concur with the advice. I also see 2 rectangles of blue half way back on the body. Is this an artifact of the stacking? I also think using content aware in Photoshop to remove all of the little hot spots would help. |

Great people and dog shot. They truly are friends and the photo shows this. It is a great story. On the technical side, the right side is much brighter than the left. A little toning down might help. |

The capture of the colors and the composition are very good. I agree with the crop Audrey ended up with, it helps focus the eye on the subject. The photo looks a bit soft, but that works in this case. I am going to the Palouse at the end of June. I hope we have sky's like this one. |

I agree with Marla about the cropping. Your capture of the colors is great and the fact the water was clear enough to show the underwater fish a bonus. To me the focus of the photo is the point where the fish and duck are fighting for the food. Unfortunately, it is a little bit out of focus. A faster shutter speed could have solved this. |
