Hi Sharon
Great image the subjects really well placed in the frame and they look natural not posed which really adds to the image lighting is wonderful,I think this would look really atmospheric in black and white as well. |

Hi Erik
What a great idea of yours to ask for a tour around this cigar manufacturers, there must have been some fabulous photo opportunities on the site no wonder your fellow visitors rightly congratulated you on making this happen.
The work force are a study of concentration, the supervisor or overseer is living up to his title, lots to take in on the work benches, the paneling on the walls adds a texture to the image and the angle you used to capture the image allows to see more of the items used in the process, photo travel yes, photo journalism yes,I am so looking forward to reading your article and hopefully a lot more pictures.

Hi Vella
The colour image to me looked flat and muddy the mono conversion has so given it life, atmosphere and interest, fabulous textures throughout, lovely lighting and tonal range, well done Vella for seeing the potential in this image and making it happen. |

Hi Guy
I knew the statue of Liberty was a gift from the French to America I never knew the Americans reciprocated the gesture.
I really like the juxta position of the statue and the Eiffel tower it works so well and either the early morning or evening light adds a mellow pleasing tone to the image which I enjoy.
As for the head bottom right I would not have noticed it if I did not read your write up first as I was drawn straight to the main topic of the picture. |

Hi Bill
Your perseverance so paid of this sky is magnificent and adds so much to the picture,as already said the blues and the oranges sit so perfectly together, your low angle adds real perspective to the image.
Absolutely superb image. |

Hi Isaac
A wonderful composition with exquisite lighting, the parting of the clouds reveals wonderful early morning colours and adds warmth to the background to mirror the foreground.
You said you took this a few years ago with the strength of the sea it would be interesting to see how much of this pier there is left nowadays. |

Hi Gary
This recent trip you made has provided you with some absolutely fabulous photo opportunities and boy you have taken full advantage of the situations.
The image is superbly composed and the lighting is stunning, great lead in lines I know the sky is not the original but it sits so well within the image.
This is one to print and frame for me. |

Hi Ella
Most months Ella you give us a still life but never ever repetitive always so carefully thought out composed and very interesting.
This is yet another example of your artistic imagination, the positioning of the stone is spot on it is and deserves to be the centre of attention but it does not detract from the wonderful adornments you have added so carefully to echo the shape of the stone but not intrude into its space.
You have 2 top images in one the colour also looks so eye catching.
I agree with Peter perhaps a little darkening to the top right corner but that does not detract for me from a masterful still life. |

Hi Susan
I love this image winters beauty its so realistic I shivered just looking at it,so well exposed no burn out on any of the light areas, wonderful tonal range and great detail in the branches even against the flat grey sky, well worth getting out in those temperatures to attain a shot like this. |

Hi Michael
All i can say is what an imagination to have the vision is one thing making it happen is another you have succeded totally in your vision in my opinion, everything sits together so well the, various components are seamlessly put together, great tonal range and very very dynamic. |

Hi Peter
As always wonderful texture and detail throughout, you have portrayed the isolation and desolation of the site so well and as Ella said nature will eventually re claim this area so it is recording a piece of social history before its gone. |

Hi John
Another great spot, the post in the lhs background adds balance and creates a very acute triangle shape between the 3 structures, the shadows add depth and it looked like a very bright day so you have done so well keeping detail throughout the the light areas. |
