4 Oct 25 Comment Hi Erik
This so sums a warm relaxed summer evening, the oranges and blues sit so well together, the pillars of the foreground arch draws the eye straight through into all the activity on the pier, everytime you look you spot something different you could expect to see this image used to advertise the relaxed easy atmosphere of the location.
My only surprise there is not a pelican walking towards you on the pier.

4 Oct 25 Comment Hi Vella
I would so love to be able to walk into my back garden and see humming birds what a delight.
To say it is such a big crop there is great detail, the wing blur for me is perfect wonderful bright colours throughout and I do like Eriks suggestion of just slightly darkening the background

4 Oct 25 Comment Hi Guy
You did so well as you have in the past to capture such a wonderful image from a moving ship.
Great lead in line with the horizon on the lower third adding so much strength to the composition, the colours so compliment one another and the vessel on the left hand side adds wonderful balance.

4 Oct 25 Comment Hi Bill
I worked in the grain trade for many years so this silo is such a familiar sight to me,I love the filter and the effect it has given as already said it looks like an old glass plate I think you will have a lot of fun with this.

4 Oct 25 Comment Hi Isaac
What a stunning landscape ,its say peace, tranquility and calm.
The reflection and well placed rocks in the foreground add wonderful balance to the image, the polariser adding depth in the foreground water.Wonderful colours which so compliment each other, every time you look at it,it will transport you back to not only the place but the wonderful people you shared that experience with.

4 Oct 25 Comment Hi Gary
I so hope you enjoyed your holiday.
From what you said about the timing you had to get the shot this is a grab shot and probably one of the best grab shots I have seen.
The lighting is spectacular I have seen the same on my visits to Scotland and the Lake District, the pp is beautifully handled if was not for the quad bike this could have been mistaken for a painting by John Constable.
I hope you have more to show from your trip.

I like the original with the softer tones I find it very gentle but also agree you can get a second superb landscape adding contrast.

31 Oct 25 Comment Hi Ed
We have a club comp coming up soon called geometric shapes so this has put some thoughts in my head.
I love the foliage in the foreground it contrasts so well with the uniform lines of the building, well composed and wonderful detail and texture throughout well seen and well presented.

31 Oct 25 Reply Hi Ella
I cheated as per the shiny parts it was taken in the middle of storm Amy with black evil skies overhead so reflective issues were very greatly reduced.

31 Oct 25 Comment Hi Peter
The rock stacks make for such a powerful lead in,as always wonderful detail throughout and you have in this image not only captured the isolation of this coastline but the immense power of the sea.

31 Oct 25 Comment Hi John
I love the way you have composed the image with similar shapes intertwined and within other arches it is really clever and very well seen.
I would agree with Michael if you could lighten the most prominent bridge a little I think this would so help the image.
