4 Aug 25 Reply Hi Gary many thanks for that idea I will most certainly give it a try and see what happens. Aug 18th
4 Aug 25 Comment Hi Erik

The sharpness of this beautiful flower is extraordinary every detail can be so clearly seen, studied and enjoyed, the slightest of movement caught in the wings is exquisite and the blurred background is the finishing stroke to the masterpiece.

4 Aug 25 Comment Hi Vella
Isn't great to go no further than your back garden to grab a great nature image, the blurred wings denotes movement the bee has been captured beautifully and the depth of field really makes it stand out I was going to suggest just lifting the blacks or the shadows a little on the bee but Guy beat me too it.
This wonderful image proves you do not have to go further than your own back yard to capture a great shot.

4 Aug 25 Comment Hi Guy
My first thought having viewed the original you have done an amazing job bringing so much colour and light to this image.Another one of your water borne images and again you would never guess you were on a moving vessel no blur or movement at all the 2 yachts at the right of the image really show the scale of this impressive castle. I also might crop from the top but that is entirely tour call.

4 Aug 25 Comment Hi Bill
This so sharp Bill I feel I could reach out and pick it up,your oversight in not resetting the camera has paid massive dividends the blurred background adds to the clarity of the ,this for me is a spectacular nature image.frog.

I selected mt position very carefully and boy were these boats moving, along the the mile long back straight they were clocking over a 100mph they have a top speed apparently of over 120mph.

Many thanks I did look at leaving the whole plume of water but it goes to a very sharp point just above the crop and there is a tree trunk coming out of it so thought crop to there.

4 Aug 25 Comment Hi Isaac
Over the years Cuba has produced some brilliant Olympic boxing champions at all weights so it must have been a real treat to have the opportunity to visit one of the gyms.
You can see the mans pride as he looks at the article and his picture, you can see by the wear on the paper how often it has been handled and looked at I so hope it can be preserved for posterity as it so deserves to be.

4 Aug 25 Comment Hi Gary
Firstly I love the colours in this image they are bold but do not overpower the image. Its cropped just right for me,the the quality panning and well selected camera settings just scream movement.
Brilliant image.

31 Aug 25 Reply So many thanks Ella Aug 15th
31 Aug 25 Comment Hi Ella
This beautiful veteran Citroen as already said has been captured superbly its pin sharp from front to back all the bright shiny chrome parts are so well controlled and I love your idea of the blurred background to really make it stand out but I do agree with Michael and Peter I would just feather the edges slightly between sharp and the blur applied, but a great image.

31 Aug 25 Comment Hi Michael
It may have been a flat grey day but your use of the long exposure has softened the water and the sky thus making the textures of the jetty and buildings really stand out,I think the overcast conditions really add to a feeling of how isolated this looks,it works for me.

31 Aug 25 Comment Hi Peter
As always a top composition the tonal values are beautiful, wonderful textures and the sky just sets everything off.
Another masterpiece.

31 Aug 25 Comment Hi John
Your eye was again on full alert,it says abandonment I like the way you can make out just a few faded letters on the sign, exposure is good as the frame of the sign can clearly be distinguished against the wall.
I was going to say i might crop it down a touch from the top but the more I look at it I am undecided about that.
Well spotted John.

31 Aug 25 Comment Hi Michael
As always many thanks for your kind words I did consider cropping from the left but as the boat was pointing slightly left I wanted to leave a little space for it to move into.
