4 Jul 25 Comment Hi Erik
At first I thought you had found the secret hideaway of Davy Crockett.
I would imagine if you were in the forest the lighting was not too good plus you had a long zoom on the camera this is a remarkable image,I especially love the lighting on the outstretched limb at the top of the image, gorgeous texture throughout the image, its a winner all ends up for me and so makes me smile.
Thanks for sharing Erik.

How lucky were you to come across this magnificent animal and you took full advantage of the situation, the jaguar is looking straight at you,you have shown him in his habitat he is pin sharp, top top nature image.

4 Jul 25 Comment Hi Guy
You have captured a piece of history so wonderful to see it still in use,as you said the red and the black really attract the eye to the main subject helped in no small way to the fact you just reduced the vibrance of the background but not to the point where you would notice it had been done.
I hope this lovely engine keeps serving the locals and tourists for many years to come.

4 Jul 25 Comment Hi Bill
You did a wonderful job of bringing out the helmet and making it the focal point of the image you have not over darkened the background allowing the viewer to still see the other PPE clothing .
This was a great spot and beautifully handled.

4 Jul 25 Comment Hi Isaac
Well if this does not immediately grab your attention nothing ever will.
Fabulous colourful backdrop matched by the foreground special effects,I love the spiral patterns,an image that would cheer you up with all the wonderful colours so well produced and presented.

4 Jul 25 Comment Hi Gary
Your hard work in both taking the images and in pp have paid massive dividends in my opinion,to actually visualise this image and make it turn out so beautifully are to be commended.
It for me is as good as it gets you should be very proud of this beautiful image.

Wonderful atmospheric image the slight touch of colour so works with this image for me the slightly lit railings lower left and upper right so balance the image,I really enjoyed viewing this well seen and beautifully composed image.

You would have to be a qualified stilt walker to walk in those shoes but the shape of the shoe is superb, the daisy on the shoe and the one on the table top give the image amazing balance, the pearls sparkle to match the glitter on the shoes a beautifully designed and cleverly put together still life from the Grand Master.

31 Jul 25 Reply Many thanks Peter fortunately you can get right to the lakeside here close enough to use a 100 - 400mm but not so close you get a soaking every time the boats pass.
The focal length on this image was 350mm Peter just checked my file data.

31 Jul 25 Comment Hi Susan
For me this so works in mono,it really shows the varying textures throughout the image and the tonal range of the lighting in the building is really given emphasis, beautifully cropped this could almost be a surrealist painting.
I would have this printed and on my wall.

31 Jul 25 Comment Hi Michael
The sky was clear and the Milky Way was easy to see, but you had to produce an image and boy you nailed it your pp is superb this image has gold medal written all over it.
Absolutely love it congratulations Michael.

Thanks for your kind words I sussed out the best positions when I went to the event last year so got there early and stood on the side of the lake about 250 yards past the turning marker at the far end of the lake I chose this one because its on the turn after the longest straight the marker was about 150yds from the lake side.

31 Jul 25 Comment Hi Peter
Your compositions are always so carefully thought out its a trademark of your work but this is something else to have seen this is something but to have been able to get the shot is something else as always beautifully balanced its brilliant.

31 Jul 25 Comment Hi John
Your eye worked again love the way the light has highlighted not just the rope but fraying fibres which tell a story as Ella said a crop my focus the eye even more I might be even more radical and suggest cropping from both sides and creating a portrait crop.

31 Jul 25 Reply Hi Michael

So many thanks its been a hectic time over the last 6 weeks I have retired after a 51 year working career and moved to an idyllic village in the Cheshire countryside I only unpacked my computer recently, this is the image I intended to post but I posted the small copy by mistake the one I intended to post was larger and did have a stroke on it and I will certainly try it with a light vignette so many thanks.
