Hi Erik
More good days than bad days with it now thankfully I will attempt a phased return to work when my latest set of x-rays are reported on but with the Microsoft outage last Friday most of our health service went down which is causing delays so still waiting and hoping |

Hi Erik
Your nature images always bring us to the right were the action is I never feel like I am looking through a telephoto but as in this case stood right next yo the nest which shows you expertise as a nature photographer, the 2 crops are very very good and well thought out but the branch forward rhs for me adds to the enviroment the nest is situated in which is part of telling the story for me the main subject is so strong the eye goes straight past the branch and is held by the main subject of the image for me some circuit judges are getting to clinical nature is as it is and you show it as it is to a very high standard.
Well done Erik. |

Hi Vella
You had to start with a really good initial image to crop in so much and keep so much quality and sharpness with such a big crop.
As already said black and white gives so much impact to this image a really good conversion,my weak point is cloning I am awful at it you have done a wonderfully skilled job in removing the grass in front of the Zebras.
Fantastic image that should do so well for you. |

Hi Bill
This reminds me of Erik when he is on one of his road trips and going down the back country lanes to see what he could spot, you did the same but in a major city what a find it just had to be photographed and boy did you make the most of the opportunity.
Superbly composed and presented lots of wonderful shapes and patterns to be admired with a sink in the middle I am laughing as I try and type.
You could have so much with this in a caption competition.
Thanks for sharing Bill.

Hi Isaac
While you were capturing the action in the ring did anybody capture everyone fighting for position ringside?
Wonderful piece of sports journalism the effort each boxer is putting in can be clearly seen the tensed muscles the veins in the neck the movement in the white boxing trunks
I must admit my eye was so taken by the 2 main subjects I had not noticed the overhead sign that shows how powerfully the main subject held my attention.
Brilliant image Isaac |

Hi Gary
Your mention of lifting weights and looking at the activity is not my favourite topic at the moment as this is my second week off work as I received a back injury at work and I am still a bit tender.
I love patterns in pictures and that is what I see a pattern,a whole spectrum of colours the lines are not uniform which for me adds to it the empty chairs break the patterns but add to the overall effect, very few would have spotted this opportunity you did and made the most of it,it so works for me. |

Hi Bill
Many thanks there were not to many photographers there to be honest and most situated themselves on the main straight I thought the better shots would be on the bend markers as he came towards me and then cornered in front of me I had room to wander around to get the best angle each lap.
But what do I know. |

Thanks Guy
It cornered like it was on rails though it was explained to me the drivers have to wear a 5 point harness almost identical to those worn by Formula 1 racing drivers and he has to wear a Hahns device. |

Hi Walter
Beautiful contrasty image of this amazing building wonderful shapes and contours beautifully presented.
My only suggestion would be to put a pixel white stroke around the image so it does not blend into the dark background of the screen.
Well done. |

Do that John I have managed to get quite a few good images from that afternoon not just the Formula 2 boat but of all the boats you really need a fast shutter speed for these guys. |

Hi Michael
I will get the lumberjack in on the tree on this image but I want to use the colour image in PJ so that has to stay as is. |

Hi Ella
when I first looked at this I thought this is the best table top still life Ella has ever created.
Seriously what an opportunity to not only to visit a building like this with so much history but to actually stay in it that is is something above and beyond, beautiful tones throughout so well composed wonderful texture throughout the stonework and a perfect sky a memory for ever. |

Hi Ed
When I first looked at this I thought it was a very very good highly detailed architects drawing.
Beautifully cropped wonderful shapes and this effect has so brought out the quality textures and patterns something different which I really like. |

Hi Michael
I do a lot of portraiture and love seeing portraiture, the lighting is superbly handled the background is dark and makes the 2 characters stand out but not so dark you can see detail in the background, beautifully composed and the connection between the child and mother is the icing on the cake.
Beautiful image. |

Hi John
Your eye strikes again making something out of nothing glad you were able to isolate the lock on the back hatch it adds something to the image, my only recommendation if you have cropped the image the barrel on the right is slightly out of frame and I would like to see all of it. |
