Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
4 Feb 24 Comment Hi Erik
Firstly my very best wishes to Betty Sue.
I have never ever seen such a bird so it strutted itself in front of the right man,the birds are beautifully placed within the frame, your Group name is now Scoop Rosengren.
Great idea to get it on an aluminium panel you can re live your sighting everyday.

4 Feb 24 Comment Hi Vella
Amazing image you did well to spot it ,the dark background does not bother me as it really makes you concentrate on the struggle between fish and bird.
Well done.

4 Feb 24 Comment Hi Gary
I agree with Vella what you have achieved from the original image is outstanding but you knew what you wanted to do with the pp and boy for me it works I so love contrasty mono images ant this so fits the Bill for me it has real atmosphere I also like your portrait crop.

4 Feb 24 Comment Hi Bill
you have captured a piece of social history, your angle and composition perfect and shooting into the light really allows you to understand the immense size and span of this amazing engineering feat,Guy has stolen my thunder by suggesting a mono version but as you said you have that in hand so look forward to seeing it.
Its important you keep documenting the construction of this bridge.

4 Feb 24 Comment Thanks Guy like the crop would just not crop the right side so tightly so it did not chop of the edge of the brim of the hat but otherwise really like it. Feb 10th
4 Feb 24 Reply Much appreciated Guy. Feb 10th
4 Feb 24 Reply Hi Isaac
Straightened with surgical precision many many thanks.

4 Feb 24 Reply Many thanks Vella I always shoot at 6.3 when photographing 2 subjects for the DOF and always ensure my focus is locked on the nearest eye. Feb 10th
4 Feb 24 Reply Many thanks Gary you never know what opportunities these events will provide. Feb 10th
4 Feb 24 Comment Hi Gary
As Guy said sadly we have nothing like this in our country to enjoy.
As Isaac said at these events the background can be a distraction but for me the background adds to the image because of the reactions of the people in the background and add to the tension, also the bright orange on the rider make him stand out from the background great sports/photojournalism image.

Ha Ha this could still be a still life, fabulous pose, beautifully lit, love the texture in the background and the pole is perfectly placed and adds interest.

31 Feb 24 Comment Hi Ed
Great to have you and your work back with us,wonderful image of this young man is he day dreaming,is he trying to remember something,is e apprehensive or pensive about something only the young man knows but your picture asks us a question,I do a lot of portraiture and hands can cause issues but the hand to adds to the image of hid thoughtful pose.
I agree with Peter I would slightly bring back the brightness on his face and hand.
Great image.

31 Feb 24 Comment Hi John
Again your keen eye has led to recording a piece of social history, the clock is ideally placed in the frame, the scaffolding makes a great backdrop.
My only thought might be to just slightly darken the light area between the right hand side of the clock and the edge of the image.
