Hi Erik
This like your recent post of the coastal city scape looks very painterly an effect I love.
The red building right in the eyeline would normally be a distraction, but the various swathes of green sit well with it and it does not jump straight at you as you might expect, brilliantly composed your eye can travel through the picture before being led to the lighthouse, its serene and so easy on the eye.
I am even more convinced than ever your tools for the day were canvas palette and paint brush,I rest my case. |

Hi Vella
That must have been a wonderful trip a night time boat trip down the Danube if not mistaken.
Like Isaac I did struggle to make out any detail in the underside of the bridge I think Isaac has done a great job in opening up the detail on the underside of the bridge above all the image is a wonderful reminder of a great evening in Budapest. |

Hi Guy
This so suits black and white and your pp has made it into an exceptional image, for me you were stood in the perfect position to make the most of this amazing looking building.
The image has immediate impact and some wonderful shapes within the building. |

Hi Gary
Yes I agree the softness does take away a main focal point but I told myself for this comp it was patterns from nature and architecture this image will not be entered in an International created purely for this comp but as you have suggested in may reappear in some form or another behind a main character.
As always your thoughts are very much appreciated. |

Hi Bill
You saved 20 minutes of setting up a tripod sorting filters etc with your I phone then get to recline in your favourite chair to do the editing think I am doing it wrong.
Wonderful movement in the cascading water and I love the contrast between the brightness of the blue sky and the darker tones on the dam.
A day well spent with a wonderful image to show for it.

Hi Isaac
So glad the 3 Amigos had another great conference although not sure what people from that era would think of such exposure.
Great image love the waiters expression caught in mid stride to me showing urgency, wonderful lighting and the background showing the ladies in their attire of the day as Gary has said a great piece io documentary photography also for me a PJ entry.

Hi Gary
The original was an image of amazing quality when you think of the year it was taken.I love the work you have done in the restoration I hope they now sit side by side in your family scrapbook I am not keen on AI but in this case it has done a wonderful job. |

Hi Brian
If I am not mistaken looks very much like Barton spent many a happy hour there photographing the light aircraft in and out a great view from the control tower balcony.
Your panning practice paid off great image the aircraft is beautifully sharp lovely blurred background.
The aircraft is a homebuilt Sting Carbon. |

Hi Ed
Really good contrasty conversion, leading line is as good as it gets Peters suggestion of the flip makes it even stronger.
I like Ellas idea of the crop as I think you could afford to lose a little of the sky.
Really well seen and processed a powerful image. |

Many thanks Ella this has done well for me but the brighter areas do not draw the eye as much in the colour version as the mono I should have realised that. |

Hi Peter
This image gives off not only a sense of the chill at that time of year but also the remoteness and bleakness of the area, you have captured the stacks but also show the enviroment they are surrounded by, a really well thought out and composed image. |

Hi John
This is only my view I am not a fan of street photography as I think it is intrusive but this shot is ok by me because you cannot identify the person and I think works well.
I found me eye kept going to the Hairdressers sign as it is very dominant and bright and kept dragging my eye away from the man who for me is really well positioned, there is plenty in the rest of the frame to fill it and observe,so I cropped the sign out added a touch of contrast and some very light burning on the brighter areas though I realise the shop signs may add location to the the image. |

absolutely love the feeling of serenity this image provokes ,its moody and atmospheric yet calming for me the crop is perfect the expanse around them beautifully illustrated,my only advice get it printed framed on your wall and enjoy it. |
