Hi Erik
Firstly I sincerely hope your recovery is going well and send my very best and warmest wishes.
I so love it when you and Betty Sue go on one of your road trips and hit the back roads they have created some memorable images and this is another.
There are so many shapes, angles and lines but all work together to make a fascinating image like Guy I would so love to have been with you when you took this so well spotted and presented love it. |

Hi Guy
It really suits mono with the conditions on the day, having been a a marine cargo superintendent based at Seaforth docks but working ports all over the country this is a very familiar and nostalgic image for me ships come in all shapes and sizes and have so many different purposes.
The ship for me is perfectly positioned in the frame a sky to behold which so works in mono, the diminishing quayside adds balance great image and a trip down memory lane for me. |

another of my likes Art Deco and especially the buildings,I love the fact that you are at eye level with the chandelier this allows you to see the beautiful ceiling decoration so well, your perspective and composition are spot on contrast perfectly controlled for me,as already said the 2 people are a must to make this image work and perfectly placed its a fabulous mono image |

Hi Isaac
A wonderful image and memorial to this magnificent creature,I am in agreement with both Guy and Gary,as I would much rather she had remained free in the open sea and with her family but agree that this is more than a tribute it raises friendly I hope debate and only the very best images do that. |

Hi Darlene
The lighting on the Mt Moran is spectacular in this image in real life it must have been breathtaking, the darker foreground really makes it pop even more,I just wondered if a letterbox crop might just bring it forward a little more. |

Hi Ella
Your creative ingenuity knows no bounds, the lighting on the folds of the back cloth is outstanding and beautifully balanced, the left side has come in for some debate the sweep of the cloth upper right takes the eye to and through the subject to the folds bottom left yes upper left has little interest but the eye is drawn diagonally through the picture and takes all the subject matter in it works so well for me. |

Hi Ed
I would think this rider would be moving at quite a speed so Kudos for capturing him in mid air and freezing the action,if you look at his arms tensed you can seen how much effort he is putting into this descent,I agree with the others just a bit more contrast or Ella's suggestion maybe a curves adjustment but a really difficult shot really well captured.

Hi Nick
A monumental image in more senses then one,I love the way the lighting is highlighting the flat area between the cliff face and the higher ground behind, the buildings give scale beautifully processed so atmospheric. |

Another great landscape I especially love the curves, rises and falls in the snow which have been created by the wind,as always composition, texture and detail are perfect. |

Hi John
I have seen many fabulous images of that lighthouse but never from this angle, great lines and angles in the image which really leads the eye through the picture for me there is too much sky I would crop it down severly to just above the seagull on the left which is a great feature and make it into a letterbox crop. |

Hi Lee Ann
It works for me I find it tranquil, peaceful and calmimg, the seagull is the final piece I think without the seagull it would be slightly unbalanced very minamalistic and I for one say keep it it is wonderful. |

Hi Donald
What a wonderful image the light control to stop any form of burnout is outstanding my only advice would be to put a 2px white border around the image so it does not run into the background and defines the image, outstanding piece of work love it. |
