4 Dec 22 Comment Hi Erik
What a fabulous piece of photojournalism that would grace any magazine and hold the viewer spellbound.

You have captured the whole event in a single image the balloons in flight, the enviroment they are flying towards the take off area and all on the ground that is needed to make this possible. You have told a story and answered every question.
Love the special shape balloons especially the fire hydrant.
Was this a wish to obtain another flight in a hot air balloon or an opportunity to photograph passing birds in flight I wonder?

4 Dec 22 Comment Hi Vella
Like Guy I did think it a little over sharpened but this I imagine was a pretty large file so reducing it to 1mb or below can sometimes have this effect.
The sky is fabulous and like Guy I was wondering if a slight crop top and bottom would really make the eye focus on the buildings and it does, every house is a different design and so much to study and appreciate in this communal area,I especially love the cow in the compound lower right anyone else spot that.
Again good luck with your surgery Vella.

4 Dec 22 Comment Hi Guy
Many thanks for your comments and time spent on fine tuning it looks better we all have a weak spot I suppose and mine is cloning I really struggle with it so I left well alone you did a fabulous job as for the amazing actor playing Scrooge he never kept still for a second.

Many thanks for your comments I did wonder about popping the shutter speed up a touch but it would also have meant pushing the ISO further and 8000 was about as high as I wanted to go.

4 Dec 22 Comment Hi Gary
An image is a reminder of some of the wonderful moments we have experienced and looking at this image it must so take you back to the peace, tranquility and sheer beauty you experienced that morning I loved the way the sun is just peeping over the rockface and the way it has lit up the bush on the RHS,I did wonder whether the rockface could be brightened as the colours look stunning but of course the sun is hidden behind I do like what Guy has done, wonderful tranquil image to be enjoyed.

4 Dec 22 Comment Hi Guy
Your patience in waiting for the crowds to disperse so paid off , I have seen many images of this museum but I have to say you found a very unique viewpoint the sign although red fits in beautifully and does not overpower the rest of the image, the darker sky really makes the wonderful design of this building stand out.
Its a fabulous image.

Another fabulous nature image showing animal behaviour the lighting is beautiful and you have captured wonderful detail in all areas its only my preference but I prefer the wider image to the close cropped one but both are top images.

31 Dec 22 Comment Hi John I so love the mood you have created with this image the buiding is well positioned in the frame love the tree in front showing how much nature is taking over, the only distraction for me is bottom right corner there is a branch or stem sticking up and it keeps attracting my eye,for me you have achieved what you set out to show.
