Hi Erik
You never fail to amaze not only with your skill at nature photography but your knowledge of the subject and your love for the natural world shines through in all your images,I would have had no idea were to start if asked to try and capture this scene, long may your lens and sensor continue to astound me. |

One of the fabulous Churches and Cathedrals in the U.K. always so photogenic but towering and I find as already said getting the tripod really level is essential and an absolute minimum focal length of 50 mm to stop barreling, the lighting at the far end of the church is stunning I'm afraid the blacks in the foreground for me really do take away from the image I think Isaac has done a fabulous job of bringing out the full splendour of the interior.
As said by Gary you have a great image just waiting to blossom. |

Hi Guy
Most importantly sending my very very best wishes to you for a speedy recovery and lots of love to Paula.
Its a different kind of contrast I love about this image its the wonderful contrast between the smoothness of the candles and the rough craggy texture of the wall, you have done so well to keep the detail in the large crevice in the wall in what appears to have been very strong lighting.
Just a pity there was not a fourth candle or you could have titled Four candles I think possibly only me and you will understand that.
Take care my friend very best wishes.

Hi Bill
Can't tell you how much I like this the tone is too perfection I see so many where the tone overides the image this has a beautiful and effective tone which adds so much to the image composition perfect if I were judging this would be very very high in the awards its brilliant. |

Hi Gary
I know Isaac is the expert on PT but I will comment purely on the finished image.I see your reasoning for PT as it has the range of emotions the gentleman in the Navy shirt with arms folded to be kind looks extremely disappointed contrasting nicely with the winning team member almost in front of him the lighting is extremely harsh and I would bring in the whites a little more,I would crop out the 2 and a bit people on the left because they do actually look like they are asleep and add nothing, and although I love the concept and thought process of having the team member who got the winning point in the foreground I find my eye continually going back to him as he is so bright and so prominent.
As a general image sorry Gary it does not work for me but it does fit the criteria of PT post processing allowing. |

Hi Isaac
Had to start this months critique with this image as I scanned the thumbnails nearly fell of my chair you may not know but I am reasonably well known in the U.K. as an aviation photographer Princess Juliana Airport is the top of every aviation photographers bucket list I have seen so many similar images to this one and they never bore me they excite me and this one is no different she is on very very short finals fully trimmed and will be on the runway once over the fence your shutter speed is spot on as is your focus the overcast day has helped as on a day with strong sun reflecting back off the water it can blow the whites out, this would also make a great PT image the beach scene the hotels and the aircraft.
By the way did you stand against the fence when one of the aircraft powered up its engines for take off a popular pastime or did you just treat the injured afterwards.
Right I am going to put my anorak on and bore you rigid the aircraft in your main image is a Grumman Gulfstream G.550SP owned by Barbara Lawrence Herrick built in 2008.
Your 2 smaller pics No1 is a Cessna Citation and number 2 is a D.H.C.Twin Otter probably owned by one of the Island hopping Airlines affectionately known in the trade as a TWOTTER.
Sorry but you photographed something I know a lot about you have to know your subject if your images are to be taken seriously in the aviation world. |

Hi Hoshedar
I love shapes in pictures so this really appeals to me I love the flow of the picture and great lead in line well composed to chose your point to shoot so well, I really like the vibrancy of the colour image and wondered if a black and white conversion would work giving you 2 options so I did a very quick conversion.
Great image so well composed. |

As always good to hear your thoughts my worry was he needed space to run into this was the only side not cropped he moved like an Olympic sprinter and thats were he was in the frame by the time the shutter opened that was my concern when I posted the image.
