Hi Erik
I seem to remember from a while back you or one of the other members of the group had visited a reserve and there was construction going on this in my eyes is terrible.
Your images captivate and amaze us and your knowledge educates us this is a great example of a really top nature image you show an animal in its natural habitat and recording its behaviour, the image is beautifully cropped and composed the colours so true to life and being able to see the eggs is such a joy, thanks for sharing Erik. |

Hi Vella
Great spot and what a lot of choices you have been given but I like it as it is I love contrasty mono images great texture and detail, you have so captured the enviroment of the forest floor to perfection one slight adjustment for me the centre of the body of the acorn is very bright I would just tone that down a touch otherwise works for me. |

Hi Erik
Its confession time I did this at the last minute a bit rushed as we have been so busy at work with serious staff shortages Captain Jack was photographed against a plain white brick wall its the bricks from the wall you can see coming through I will rework it I may have been better missing this month than rushing something like this. |

Hi Guy
Firstly may I congratulate you on your ability to lay down flat on the ground and get up again,at a Comicon about 3 years ago I was asked by half a dozen Judge Dredds if I would lay on the floor while they formed a circle around me with batons raised I agreed fitted my 8mm Fisheye and I was rather pleased with the shot it took 3 of them to haul me back to my feet.
As for the your image could be nothing else but mono and the softer mono you crave would not work for me as well on this one the tonal range from light to dark adds depth and atmosphere perfect sky its eerie, its spooky, its atmospheric and bleak love it well done. |

Hi Bill
Im getting confused with this Group first we have someone who is not Dr Flip flipping a photo now we have someone else doing Guy shots.
Seriously Bill who could walk past this wonderful piece of history its gorgeous without wanting to record it,you have done a wonderful job in what must have been a very small space, there is a wonderful sweep throughout the image not only in the staircase but also the beam on the upper right. The decoration looks very Art Deco but the staircase looks earlier, for me you have 2 great images love the tones in the colour image as well so do not discount it. |

Hi Isaac
I'm with Guy the mere sight of this image gave me cramp and backache,it could only be mono, superbly lit the rim lighting spot on wonderful detail in the darker areas with the right amount of detail retained, right I'm off for a massage. |

Hi Gary
Firstly a happy and peaceful New year, one thing I love about the wonderful nature photographers we have in this group they show us wildlife especially birds we do not see in the U.K. so not only top images but for me certainly an education, the way you have composed the image with the rail sweeping all the way through and across the image is first rate the beautiful strident blue of the birds contrasted with the darker background so works settings were spot on focus is pin sharp this is a top image and would look fabulous printed. |

Hi John
Love the composition of this image the 2 people are ideally placed and give a wonderful sense of scale wonderful seperation of the foreground trees leading to the wonderful back drop,I thought it just lacked a touch of contrast so I added a touch more and just cropped slightly from the top and bottom, just a thought but I so love the image |

Hi Ed
We have two amazing still life photographers in this Group Covid has a lot to answer for but has also given people time to explore and master new forms of photography.
I love the textures on all the surfaces, wonderful detail and lighting on the subjects nicely composed a very very pleasing image, which would look great printed on a textured paper. |

Hi Nick
A very warm welcome to the Group I hope you enjoy it as much as I have done.
This is a fabulous landscape for me it shows great depth and scale due to the wonderful composition, love the varying opacity of the low cloud, its one of those images the more you look the more you see,and I will be studying this for a while.
Great introduction. |

Hi John
You did the right thing by venturing out, wonderful sky, the grain in the sky does not bother me in this image it adds to the atmosphere of the shot in my humble opinion, really well composed, perfectly cropped, love where the light is just highlighting small areas of the grass in the centre adding wonderful contrast love it. |
