Hi Erik
Well tis certainly grabs the eyes and says look at me,love the low to high angle it really gives a real idea of the height of the cliff face as do the trees which look miniature compared to the rock face.
So agree with Guy the polariser has really done its job taken the glare off the foliage and brought out those wonderful autumnal colours,as always beautifully edited and presented. |

Hi Vella
I have to agree with Guy, to me there is a focal point the dark area about a third up in the centre the blurred trees bend and move towards this fixed point I also love the symmetry,it is probably just me I find the colours a little over saturated and if it were mine I would tone down just a touch but wow its certainly grabs the eye well done. |

Hi Guy
Great spot and beautifully presented as always. I can go one better than Vella a touch of Dali with a Monet lily pond as a background,I must admit I did not notice the base as I was so concentrating on the main picture so not a distraction for me.
If you get a chance to re visit Chatsworth the house is stunning but as you already know the gardens have that WOW factor as well
Very very best wishes to you and Paula. |

Hi Isaac
You had ne completely fooled (some might say thats not difficult) I sat staring at this for about 10 minutes thinking the camoflage is unbelievable Isaac must have eyes like an eagle,I really should read the write up earlier, that shows how good the blend is fascinating image which I so like and yet again another member of this wonderful group educates us thanks Isaac must have a go at this. |

Hi Gary
if you had not told me it was two images combined I would never have known so good is the editing, there is tremendous depth to the iamge and as Guy has said the varying shades and tones of the star trails are so well shown,a lot of hard work but so rewarding when you can create such a great image. |

Hi Vella
Its great fun with these Kids,I learn,t the way everyone does trial and error more error than anything else, but when I am at a comicon I scout around for a good dark background and a good light background then I have my backdrops. |

Hi Rich
Love the way you have taken a small area from a larger scape and created an image with so many interesting shapes everything just flows, the tonality is spot on for me love the highlighted rails on the stairway, the ducting top left is a little bright but as its another shape within the image I would do a little gentle burning rather than removing it.So well seen and and presented |

Hi Marilyn
I absolutely love this the crop is spot on and shows wonderful imagination, fabulous detail throughout and flowing movement, for me more space above the ear would have made it unbalanced as everything is so tight in the frame and so works. Wish I had created this. |

Hi Ella
Firstly Happy holidays you have created fabulous depth with that graduated border, there appears to be a very subtle blur around the edges which as already stated gives a wonderful sense of motion beautifully lit and put together as always, it just makes me smile but it is also an extremely carefully arranged piece of work to the very last detail and so works if I received this card in either black or white or colour it would take centre stage on my mantle piece. |

Hi Paul
Clever and interesting take on such a large structure which sits really well with me. I agree with others I would like to see a little bit more contrast. |

Hi Ed
this brings back memories of a 20+ year career as a marine cargo superintendent who worked exclusively on the safe loading, discharging and storage of all types of grain into the U.K. so grain elevators and silos were very much part of my life for many years.
Right back to the matter in hand your image,as Ella said great shapes and textures in the image the tight crop does not worry me love the shapes of the elevator down pipes and support wires, because of the very strong sun the shadow on the left hand bin is very harsh your re working has really done a great job on lightening it and is much easier on the eye and has really given the sky some real punch. |

Hi Michael
Wonderful dramatic image like Peters image a splash of light highlighting the foreground and for me captured to perfection lovely detail retained in the mid tones as well I like the sky I think it mirrors the tones below.I bet this was a wonderful sight in real life and you have a spectacular image to remind you of that moment in time.
Forgot to mention the letterbox crop is the perfect choice for an image such as this. |

Hi Peter
I love it when a strong shaft of light breeches the clouds and highlights an area, there is great depth in this image and as always beautifully processed I would imagine the colour version of this is also a sight to behold. |

Hi John
What can I say for me you have hit the jackpot with this one fabulous movement in the tree but the background so compliments it,the semi circular arc of the branches behind just draw the eye in,as always with you a great spot and a winner hands down in my eyes. |
