Hi Erik
This could be a summers day in the UK it usually rains like that, fabulous piece of social history for me wonderful depth of field really centering the eye on the subject and the sign, the sign is an important and integral part of the image and the story for me, you did an amazing job to catch so much detail especially in the faces with the torrential rain, your efforts were so worth it a wonderful insight into a totally different way of life. |

Hi Guy
Firstly a great spot Guy,as you know I love shapes and sections of architecture this is so up my street,as for the tonal values I think the colours and tones sit so well together, the shapes angles and composition are outstanding I would have this on my wall, the support on the right is the final touch and ads so much balance and interest to the image the more I view it the more I love it. |

Hi Isaac
What a stunning piece of architecture you had perfect lighting to show it off to its full magnificence, the cyclists and the less easy to spot guard give a wonderful sense of scale this is not only a great memory for you of what must have been a trip of a lifetime but also an image that will go a very long way in a photo travel comp, and a history lesson thrown in for free what more could one wish for. |

Hi Gary
Anything to do with aviation gets my immediate attention,I love the way you have gone in close and captured the action and shown the enviroment and the pre preparation of the event you mentioned travel this for me would also come into the PJ category.I have been to similar events in the UK they are so much fun I do not know if they do it at this event but sometimes after dark they tether some of the balloons down and inflate them its called a night glow and is spectacular to see and to photograph
Now the aviation geek comes out in me the thumbnail of the balloon lifting off you have posted is a Aerostar RX8 balloon owned by Endeavour Hot Air Balloons from Grafton I will now remove my anorak. |

Hi Paul
Love the textures and patterns within the image difficult to expose for but you have managed to create a wonderful image in difficult lighting. |

Hi John
You would love it the stained glass encompasses the whole circumference of the building and the inside of the building is always a host of colours then from the front of the Cathedral its a short walk along hope Street to the also magnificent Anglican Cathedral. |

Hi Michael
You have captured the size and magnitude of the landscape brilliantly, the clouds and sky are magnificent and beautifully edited, there have been several suggestions about darkening the foreground I wondered if a touch of gentle burning on areas of the foreground might be something to experiment with,a wonderful expansive landscape.

I would not have had the first idea this was a composite if you had not said so its seamless.
As always beautifully toned and composed and the the sky is majestic. |
