Hi Vella I can just see the top of the lighthouse from the lounge of my apartment and as the window faces West the direction of the prevailing weather I get a pretty good heads up I have done storm shots of it but as you say only if I feel safe the strongest winds I have photographed it are 60mph and that was a challenge. |

Hi Erik
Wow you have produced something very special / spectacular here in real life this must have been unbelievable, great use of the filter I have a medium ND grad I regularly use at sunsets on the peninsular.
As Guy said the the exposure is perfect its pin sharp and blue hour was the perfect time to capture this image.
One nit pic in the tree line behind the falls just after half way there is an illuminated area I might just take that down a touch.
I hope the car is a getting a rest now,Erik my friend this is a winner all day long. |

Hi Vella
I so well remember your previous image of the Jaguar which was superb this if possible beats it,I love it just as it is, as already said the camouflage is amazing look at the colour of the grasses around its legs they are an almost identical match to the colour of the cat fabulous capture thank you for sharing. |

Hi Guy
So love contrasty mono so this sits so well with me I like Isaacs slight crop from the right the light roof to the right does not bother me as it adds to the contrast, everything sits so well within the frame, the people scattered around the scene are well seperated and form a point of interest and fill in dead space so well, and to top it all you beat me you got 2 ships on your horizon.
I know how much you love printing this would make a fabulous print. |

Hi Isaac
Thanks as always for your kind words it is indeed the same Lighthouse although fully vaccinated I am still reluctant to venture to far and as this beautiful structure is only 5 minutes stroll from my apartment and is surrounded be ever changing coastal sky and light its my go to at the moment and brings a lot of peace and energy to my life. |

Hi Bill
Absolutely love this wonderful colours so much to take in and see at the first look I did not notice the person walking along the path, your elevation is perfect, I have no problems with images using drones I have a friend who takes the most remarkable images of the cruise liners coming in and out of the River Mersey, enjoy your drone and I think we will all enjoy the results. |

The changes are as you say more subtle than mine but just give it that bit of extra punch it needed,as I say composition etc spot on it just looked a little flat to me. |

Hi Isaac
this is so a me shot I love looking at the larger picture and and finding some small detail within, you have wonderful shapes, textures and tones on the metalwork, and the greenery could almost be an alien looking out of his spaceship,as for the Alfred Hitchcock analogy that is genius Isaac well seen and so well presented love it. |

Hi Gary
I have seen so many pictures from the U.S.A. where vehicles are just rotting away in a field I would love this.I love the low to high angle really makes the vehicle very dominant in the picture love the textures and the tones the composition is spot on for me,my only concern is it looks a little flat so I used an adjustment layer and upped the contrast and then a touch of selective burning.
See what you think. |

Hi Stuart
Thank you so much for taking the time to look and comment on my image your sharp eye noted the bird which I did not, sometimes we get to close to our work to notice the obvious,I did consider cropping up from the bottom but decided to keep the full reflection but I will certainly look at cropping and see how I feel. The object on the right on the horizon is a large container ship about an hour out from the Port of Liverpool and thought it just broke the horizon line but again I will look at removing that.
Again many thanks for your advice |

Stunning detail and wonderful tonal range love the background it so makes the image stand out.
I am friendly with Sony Ambassador Terry Donnelly and he invited me to a photo shoot he was doing in Liverpool a couple of years ago I had Sony Technicians handing me all the latest Sony bodies and G master lens the quality of the sensor is second to none if I was starting again it would be Sony all the way for me. |

Hi Michael
I love the contrast in this image the dark upper and lower sections sandwiching the brighter central area which really appeals to me, wonderful detail throughout especially the definition in the clouds and you have done so well not to blow out the highlights. One to be proud of. |

Hi Peter
I have seen many pictures from Bodie but this one really stands out with you composition is always spot on and the composition of this image so strenghens it,lovely angle on the car and buildings and although the car is the main subject it does not detract from the background stunning image. |

Hi peter
I am also old enough to remember them in the mod era yep this one was bedecked in mirrors but well spaced out and the background was cluttered and separation difficult to achieve so I went in tight on the lights. |
