Hi Erik
The first thing that struck me my friend when I read your write up was how you even noticed the boats when there was a spoonbill flying about.
Erik as already said fabulous image the early morning lighting on the main subject is to die for the reflection of the paddle matches the logo on the ladies jacket the inclusion of the far bank gives not only a stop but adds distance and scale.
This is the sort of image that would grace National Geographic. |

Hi Vella
I live only about 30 minutes drive from the border of North Wales and when I visit the sky is normally that colour and although there are a lot of mountain ranges in Wales wondering if that is Snowdonia in the background.
As a keen golfer I have played many of the stunning courses in North Wales and a lot have sheep on they do a great job of keeping the grass down the problem is the greens are surrounded by electric fences to keep the sheep off and you have to pay attention when climbing the wooden steps onto the green.
You have so captured the scene and location of the small Welsh community Chapels, great lead in line with the path love the touches of red on the building they stand out so well against the sky and slate roof and stone and so brighten up the picture but do not overpower it.
You have captured the scene really well and as already said this would be a great entry for photo travel. |

Hi Guy
My camera club Hoylake which you and Paula graced a couple of years ago with a wonderful talk illustrated by your fabulous prints (can I add if like me you think Guys digi images look good his prints take his work to another level) had an ITM competition something I had never attempted and had great fun experimenting with and will try again so I understand why Guy did this.
As soon as I saw this a thought came into my head stained glass window, now maybe I need Isaac to lower my medication, the more I look at it still says the same you did so well with the rotation its a stunning abstract the colours sit so well together I think it would have won first place in our competition absolutely love it. |

Hi Bill
Absolutely love the house and so glad it has not only survived but in such fabulous condition, really really well composed the tones sit so well with the image for me and I prefer the sky as it is as for me a blue sky slightly takes the eye away from the main subject. |

Hi Isaac
For me you have 2 tremendous images the one you have included with all 4 feet in the air is as good as the dirt flying adds motion to the image.
The lighting is tremendous and so shows the muscles on the horse illustrating the effort absolutely nothing in the background to distract from the main subject and to say you have made such a massive crop the image has held up really well great piece of sports photojournalism. And what a beautiful location. |

Hi Gary
Like my previous 2 dear friends I was to use a Liverpool term gobsmacked at the amount of PP effort that went into producing this wonderful landscape but knowing and understanding your subject as you do with this area and terrain pays dividends,as can be seen.,fabulous leading line line taking the eye through every feature of the gorge flow of the waterfall is perfect so much to see and take in,back to monitors it may well be mine I find the greenery at the back a little bright and taking the eye but a fabulous image really well composed and a geography lesson thrown in for free what else could one ask for. |

Hi Guy
Many thanks Guy as you say reflections on Harleys, which are nearly always more chrome than bike are a nightmare as you so rightly say, posted another picture of part of the bike on Group 31 this was a bigger reflection nightmare than this image. |

Hi Gavin
I do a lot of airshow photography and have been priviledged to have had a lot of airside passes I am fortunate I can chose my spot. From your position the aircraft was backlit but you have done a great job in lightening the aircraft and retaining detail especially as you have made a large crop as well, well composed great space in front of the aircraft for it to move into, really well done in difficult lighting.
If you are interested the aircraft is a Boeing C-17A Globemaster |

Hi Tam
Beautiful setting and so well composed to me the picture is beautifully put together my only thought is the greenery in the centre of the image is in direct sunlight and very bright and keeps taking my eye from the lovely lady I would just darken that area a little otherwise a great image. |

Hi Ed
You certainly don't come across this everyday well certainly not in the U.K.
The grass growing and engulfing the cars tells a tale of dereliction and neglect, well composed the various positions of the bonnets/hoods adds a non uniform aspect which I like if you were able to move around them I would imagine there were plenty more interesting images to be had.
Well seen and well presented. |

Hi Peter
Firstly many congratulations on your Galaxies so well deserved.
I reiterate what John said about good to see different arches recorded,as always wonderful tones and texture detail in the image but I so like the way the image builds from top to bottom in lines of symmetry the crop is spot on. |

Hi John
Your eye strikes again,as you know I love shapes in pictures, yes it may be complicated but there is also seperation and non uniform shapes and the reflections on the left point to the main pattern area on the right works for me well spotted and well presented. |

Hi Diana
This is so my type of mono really contrasty and wonderful shapes within the image, love what you have done with the sky the non uniform sizes of the buildings also strongly appeal to me nit pick time would like to have seen a little more space on the right not a lot more but that may not have been possible.
A title may be Pinstripe towers but for me don't change anything love it as it is. |

Hi Robert
Great image of an aircraft I have photographed myself the Shuttleworth collection is a treasured gem in my eyes, you have captured the boxkite superbly wonderful lighting and great sky I know how slowly the aircraft moves in flight especially comapred to modern propeller aircraft you could have got away with a shutter speed of around 110/s to 125/s quite comfortably and got superb blur I have used around an 80/s on similar aircraft I hope this is help on future visits.
Again great image I so enjoyed seeing, as for the crop judges like a touch of space for a moving object to move into. |
