Loved both of them it was nagging at me there were people in the other but thought best err on the side of caution. |

Hi Erik
You for me have so captured the moment, love the softness of the background it gives so much detail to the main subject I really love the way the light is just lightly highlighting the lighter fur on the bears shoulders and flank,it is a shame you could not get all the bear but for me I am just so taken by the detail it does not bother me.
If I came across a bear I would not want to be close enough to capture it with a 150mm lens 2x extender or not I would prefer to be at the safe end of a large telescope. |

Hi Vella
Love everything about this, the weathered doors and faded show the buildings age,the old and new the air conditioning box, surrounded by the original architecture so much to see great texture and detail, like Guy I was so interested to see what the all the writing on the upper right said, but from my own experience I know these narrow streets and alleyways can be frustrating.
Vella If I would have been on your walk you would not have got me past this building there are so many smaller details I would love to have captured as we say in England I would have had a field day only Guy may understand that saying. |

Hi Guy
An alternative title for me could ne tranquility,I think if memory serves you posted another image of these sands in a similar mode but more wide angle from a different part of the beach a few years ago.
I love the flow through the picture the soft colours so compliment one another the small areas of shadow give depth but are so well handled they do not jump out at you but sit perfectly within the composition the cropping is perfect.
Its both pleasing and soothing to the eye I absolutely love it.

Hi Bill
Forgive my ignorance I have never really understood what is defined as Fine Art this to me though is what I personally would class as fine Art the detail and the quality is as good as it gets the white illuminated background is a masterstroke Guy has stolen my thunder this so needs to be printed on a a form of canvassed paper its outstanding. |

Hi Gary
The more I have looked at Guys edit the more I am convinced you are both correct,I must admit it was a bit of a rushed almost on the deadline entry as I have had little time over the past month I will re visit and agree with the counsel of my learned friends thank you so much to you and Guy for your advice, |

Hi Isaac
fabulous set of images and what an experience I watched a documentary on U.K. TV a couple of years ago about a families journey to and the events that take place at the camel festival.
This is a fabulous image that so some sums up the colour, the enviroment and action in this event, hats off to Gary for that spot like Vella I never got past the camels.
I was wondering would I have a chance of getting in the top 3 in the camel beauty contest? |

Hi Gary
The work and attention you put into creating this beautiful image must have taken the same time and patience as the actual Basilica took to decorate.I also love shooting low to high wherever possible when shooting architecture, the detail you have captured is superb and every time I look I notice something new one thing that maybe gets overlooked as the eye wants to go straight to the main detail is the fantastic highlights on the side of the pews it really adds depth and detail to them, wonderful image. |

Hi Ella
Lost for words, love the gradation of light back to front, the textures on the table cloth bowl and background, contrasting with the silky smoothness of the egg shells if that is not enough the lighting lifts it to another level.
Its a masterclass in lighting and still life. |

Hi Paul
Another beautiful portrait you say you got to know one another this so shows in the image he looks relaxed, you have captured a moment of contemplation so well the toning really adds to the image you have produced some great portraits but this is my favourite. |

Hi Ed
I will certainly look at what you and Ella suggested.
Seconds after I had taken the image and was securing my camera in my bag there was a shout of Daddy from behind me and I turned to see the mans daughter and his wife coming towards him with a large Thermos of coffee he turned to greet them with a big smile. |

Hi John
in my case a loonie with a camera but I am so fortunate that I live only 5 minutes from a hot shower and a kettle for a warming cuppa and with this wind behind me only 3 minutes from home. |

Hi Ed
As already said many would just have walked past this, great spot and very well captured the frond is beautifully detailed as are the darker grasses in the background,an added bonus is the curves and the swirls in the picture and so suits monochrome great image. |

Many thanks Peter I was crouched very tight to the left side of a large litter bin to try and get some protection I did try the right side of the bin but I was exposed in the full force of the wind and rapidly headed back around to the safer side. |

Hi Peter
yet another spectacular capture from Iceland the movement of the water and the mistiness created by the spray are perfection for me,I would never have known it was a composite unless you had told me, like Ella I also noted the person lower left and thought it added a nice touch and adds a sense scale to this wonderful image |

Hi John
Your eye strikes again, love the shapes and textures in this really well captured and detailed, one of those images you keep rotating and see something different each time.I wondered if just lifting the shadows slider a touch would bring out the mid tones a touch but its my sort of picture love it. |

Hi Diana
Love the effect, eyes superbly sharp and although the background is so eye catching it does not take away from the main subject Ursula.
I have 2 nit pics firstly the skin tone on the original is perfect yet in the conversion it looks very bright there is contrast under the cheeks and other areas of the face which seen to be lost in the conversion I would take down the highlights or general exposure on the face and try and bring the toned areas back also the white top is very bright and does take the eye I would definately tone that down.
But super portrait wonderful expression and so love the background effects. |
