Hi Erik
Always love seeing the shots from Rodeos we have nothing like it in the U.K. As you have said and your settings back up such difficult lighting conditions to overcome which you have done so well, you have frozen a fantastic piece of action but with that touch of movement which so brings home the intensity of the event.
I liked the original very much Gary and Isaacs contributions have really added an extra touch to the image, thanks for sharing Erik great action shot. |

Hi Vella
At the threat of me getting flipped by the good doctor I love your re worked image and un flipped, the branch is a fabulous lead in to the star of the photo, depth of field is spot on and so makes the bird stand out and beautiful background colours compliment the bird itself fantastic re work love it. |

Hi Guy
As soon as I glanced at the picture I said Lake District you have captured the Lakes at this time of year to perfection this is how it looks highlighted by a very weak/moist sun, every time I go it rains for my entire stay with mist down to the tree tops.
My favourite part of the image is the detail you have managed to capture in the dark face of the adjoining ridge, suprbly composed and so works for me. |

Hi Bill
Your wonderful HDR rendition has so brought out all the fabulous textures on the truck,I am not sure if you chose the composition or whether the undergrowth made this the only option which ever taking a section of the truck so works for me, so like the inclusion the intertwining foliage which so sets the scene for the vehicles final resting place |

Hi Isaac
Like Gary this also reminds me of where I used to live but that was only 10 miles away from were I am now not China a Chinese lady lived close to us and used to visit the local park each morning and perform Tai Chi.
You have captured a wonderful snapshot of local culture depth of field is spot on you have so captured the essence and meditative value of this exercise, a brilliant record of social and cultural history. |

Hi Gary
A very warm welcome to the Group.
Your picture has so captured autumn/fall the colours are beautiful and your low angle has really given emphasis to the size of the drop, the shutter speed was spot on for the water movement which you controlled really well and I so love the the detail in the stream bed not sure if the HDR process brought this out or whether you used a polariser either way wonderful detail.
Fantastic image to introduce yourself to the Group with.

Hi Guy
I was so glad I wrapped up nice and warm I was down there about 40 minutes waiting for the right moment about 5 minutes before I took my shot a very good friend of mine called Sam who is a member of the happy chilly dippers walked passed me in a pair of flip flops T shirt and shorts and asked if I would join him for a sunset swim my answer is unprintable. |

Hi Ella
You have a fantastic eye for the still life images you have created,I am blown away by Stephens interpretation I re viewed the image in a totally different light.
Your use of light painting seems very very assured and confident to me.My only suggestion was covered by Michael a touch more definition on the edge of the bunch of grapes but that really is nit picking, keep experimenting and please post some more. |

A difficult subject to photograph but one that so needs capturing a beautifully composed and sympathetically handled image which so needs to be seen. |

Hi Ed
There could have been some massive burn out on the brighter side of the canal but you have controlled the exposure and post processing brilliantly, composition is spot on what a lead in,absolutely love the lillies on the canal, the house at the end works as a wonderful stop for the eye.
keep digging through those archives what other treasures have you got buried that need to see the light of day.
I would have this hanging on my wall |

Hi Michael
Really well converted image beautiful mix of tones throughout and the highlights really well held, also detail visible in the darker areas.I really love the patterns in the structure of the plant and they would have been a great image in its own own right. |

Hi Peter
The church/cottage is superbly placed and so stands out,but the way you have controlled the tonal range on the hillside is outstanding you can see every rise and fall every hollow and depression superbly edited. |

Hi John
As you say a metaphor for the current situation bleak, isolated, and desolte there is a lovely subtle contrast between the sky and the hill but like Ella and Paul I think with a little more contrast it could really pop, well spotted to Ella I had not noticed the animal track until she noted it and hopefully this could be brought out a little more. |

Hi Ella
I so hope you are safe and well, you have no idea the effect your comments have had on me I have sat on this image for 2 years really liked it but not sure if it was just me I nearly didn't post it, still not sure how it would go down.
Graham is a fabulous model brings his own costumes and props and is in his own right a top photographer and as I say an regular TV and film extra so knows the poses the photographers want and sets all the lighting himself I wanted to try and capture the mood he created by just having the gun in focus.
Again many many thanks Ella. |

Hi Diana
What a fabulous image love the lighting on the building and the drama and atmosphere you have created by the clever use of light and shade, though I must admit I must have
salept through this attack.
Can I just correct you on one point the building in the back ground is the Port Of Liverpool building not the Liver building that is nit picking but an incredible image. |

Hi Larry
Love the image and the story in equal amounts, wonderful rim lighting around the bridge span, also wonderful reflected light on the wire suppoerts, something I see very often but so love that hazy light around the the distant bright areas always a coastline feature.
An image that just grabs your attention and makes you investigate it from top to bottom. |
