Hi Erik
Firstly I echo your wishes to the rest of the group to stay safe and healthy.
Cropping wise I like your original as the mans gaze is that way I feel that attracts my attention and feels right I love what Guy has achieved and found some extra texture and colour this is more to me than street photography I think its a wonderful piece of photojournalism and I can only hope that life has looked a little more kindly on this man.

Hi Vella
I have seen many pictures of New England and the fall colours they always grab my attention and this image is no different it must be amazing to see in real life.I have no options sorry but I do like Guys version as it so concentrates the viewer on the beautiful colours. |

Hi Guy
Mission accomplished nothing but howling winds and dark grey overcast skies in this part of the Kingdom so a bright sunny picture of a glowing poppy is a real tonic for the months ahead.
I must say I always take time to study a picture carefully but the power of the red just held my attention and the out of focus green background so compliment one another I had'nt noticed the lower right corner until Isaac mentioned it had a glance and was attracted straight back to the main subject, like both the original image and Isaacs crop, thanks for the tonic Guy. |

Hi Isaac
All we have had for the last couple of weeks is dull and very miserable I was very limited to where I could take images from as the team were still moving things around I have seen images from the evening before the filming and these look a lot more realistic with more debris and damage to add realism unfortunately due to work commitments this was my only opportunity. |

Hi Grace
I really like the original version because you can see all the expressions on the spectators faces this so adds to the story and to me is a great piece of photojournalism |

Hi Ella
You have made a great spot and above all made the very best of it,love the angle of the image, textures not only on the rope but also on the wooden decking everything flows and interest is maintained throughout the picture.

Hi Paul
Full respect for getting out in that weather you controlled the detail in the white areas really well love the lead in of the stream very strong I am wondering if a slight crop from the top might hold the eye a little more. |

Hi Michael
Another wonderful piece of social history, you have reproduced the textures beautifully and the inscribed markings I feel I could almost touch them, yes the grass in the lower corner is a little bright and a slight darkening would help but it so helps to give that sense of scale which I think is so important |

Hi Peter
Is'nt it wonderful when things fall into place as we hoped it would makes up for all those times it just won't fall right, and boy did you make the most of it wonderful depth in the image we have seen a couple from this location previously and I never tire of seeing them as you know the distant waterfall is as always a favourite of mine. |

Hi John
Love the textures, and the weathering on the paint in places the holes and bolt add interest and break up the uniformity. As for the wording this is so appropriate for the current times. |

Hi Isaac
So like everything about this image like all good pictures it tells a story, the title is perfect, wonderful backdrop the look on the young mans face is priceless total concentration and the Father looks so absorbed in what he is doing.
Just a thought with them using tripods wonder if they are using the video mode rather than the stills mode.
A wonderful image that brings so much joy in these troubled times. |
