Hi Than
Absolutely love this picture, The silhouettes really work so well, as does the wonderful warm colours of the sky. So many stories to read into about what people are doing. I love it, but I hope you don't mind I made a couple of edits. I cropped up and down and slightly from the left, brightened it slightly using levels and just added a touch of contrast. See what you think. Whichever. A stunning image I so enjoyed seeing. |

Many thanks Joe
the Arrows have 3 set displays each season which one they perform on the day is dependent on the cloudbase altittude the 3 displays are Full,Rolling and flat I do my homework carefully and watch the official videos of the 3 displays before each season and make notes so I know what to expect and then fire away and sometimes get lucky. |

Hi Guy
You have depicted a beautiful English winters morning and shown it for me in its full glory the water droplets highlighted on the tree are beautifully captured and are also picked out on the fence wire on the left hand side, the picture is beautifully composed and balanced.I have been so lucky to have seen your prints first hand I would imagine this would print up wonderfully well and liven up any wall it graced. |

Hi Bill
I often shoot from a low angle wherever possible I think it really gives impact. The smoke is superb. Composition spot on. Red can be a terrible distraction, but I find the 2 areas of red really balance one another out in this case. I can almost feel this monster thundering past. Great image that should do so well for you. |

Hi Isaac
Great image so well composed I could be wrong but the nearest pole looks like it has a frame which could well be a way of stretching a net that is a guess and not from knowledge a good image always asks a question or tells a story yours certainly tells a story and asks a multitude of questions which hopefully someone will answer. |

Hi Joe
You only saw the one shot and for me you nailed it. The man and the dog are the vital ingredient for me and so make this image. I love the muted reflections in the water and the tree on the left just adds a splash of colour to a very overcast day. Well spotted and well presented and composed. |

Totally novel idea superbly executed and presented had to look closely at first I thought it was a young Ronnie Wood at first glance.

Hi Paul
You took the image from the perfect view point mono is the perfect medium for this very contrasty which I love amd I also love the way the reflections merge into the solid structure brilliant image.

Hi Michael
A really warm welcome and I hope you will be as happy as I have been in this wonderful group, from whom I have learnt so much.
I like Paul have to admit I have never taken an I.R. shot so feel a little lost in any advice I can give but I am always very keen to learn new techniques from those in the know.
From a compositional point you have a great lead in and the sweep of the lakeside takes you all the way through the image beautifully it is pin sharp and great detail in the trees and foliage the black of the sky and the lake does not bother me I love the way that is broken up with the single reflection.
Gorgeous image to start with I look forward to enjoying more of your work and learning some new skills. |

Hi John
Love Thomas's work and his attitude and I was lucky enough to meet him and have a coffee and a chat with him about 18 months ago he is a very humble guy and your image reminds me of his image though he left his in colour I prefer mono for this. |

Hi Diana
The lighting looks really good to me as I have found out judges prefer eye contact but for me this angle really works my only observation would be just darken the hands and light area of the arm as it competes with the brightness of the face otherwise great portrait. |

Hi Israel
I have done a lot of portraits in the last couple of years and I so like this one I especially like the way she is looking into the distance almost lost in her thoughts it asks questions nicely composed and very well presented just a couple of thoughts of mine I would just drop the highlights ever so slightly to take the glare of the face and her blouse and just put a very thin white border maybe 2 pixels wide around the edge of the image to seperate the image from the background beautiful portrait I enjoyed very much. |
