Hi Erik
A great day for you, wading birds, raptors and to add to it an old church with lots of character the HDR treatment has done a great job of capturing all the texture and character of the church I think the crooked pole on the top of the church is a sign of its neglect and adds to the story of its condition.Except for where the wire crosses the sky it is pretty well camouflaged by the background and blends in, so again it does not bother me and it is part of the enviroment the church is in.Superb image and all before breakfast. |

Hi Thomas
As they say you captured the moment,a really great piece of photojournalism, your settings were just right to capture the runner in mid air and also capture the liquid splashing everywhere the more I look at this image its good enough to appear in any top sports magazine or paper,my only change would be to crop in slightly from the left to really concentrate on the main subject whichever you decide this is a superb piece of photojournalism. |

Hi Guy
I love mono shots and I love shape shots so this so floats my boat you have done as you always do a fantastic edit on it superbly composed I also love very deep contrast images on shots like this I am not keen to play with someone elses image but I just couldn't resist taking it into photoshop using the gradient map on an adjustment layer then on another adjustment layer upping the contrast I may have overdone it as this was a 30 second edit but anyway see what you think either way its an image I would love to have taken |

Hi Isaac
There is something I really like about this image I don't know what it just appeals to me on many fronts the shapes created by the lady and the sculpture, the comedy value, she could also almost be part of the instalation,it tells a story a very simple image many of us would have ignored I keep getting drawn back to it and enjoying it.The mesh net thing top left I think adds balance and breaks up the background. |

Hi Isaac
Thank you so much for your kind words and observations I found an area that had black drapes next to the retail area the lady who had the consumer stall next to the curtains said she would keep them clear for me as I offered to take some photos of her stand and send them to her there is a English saying "you scratch my back and I will scratch yours" I love a dark background when the colours are so vivid I used those drapes a lot during the day. |

Hi Barbara
I had never done portraits until around 3 years ago I so enjoy them now especially characters and boy you have captured this character superbly that glance towards the camera really grabs the attention I do agree I would tone the structure down unless of course you have really had to downsize the image for this site,I have a feeling this would make a very strong mono image give it a try. |

Ed it was done in all innocence I was amazed at 2 similar images had been taken I am laughing my socks off we are all human so we make errors in no way would you intentionally try and pass it off as your own I bear absolutely no ill feeling towards you you will remain in the group and this matter will be forgotten and put to bed with no hard feelings it takes a very big man to admit his mistakes thank you for your honesty and that is the last word.
I apologise for taking so long to see this but I have been away and have only just checked the page now. Posted: 04/27/2019 15:19:14 |

Hi Ella
At first I thought this image may benefit from a slight crop from the bottom but on studying the image there is a wonderful winding lead in all the way to the arch this is an image I feel does not have an instant impact but if you take time to study it there is so much in there not only to take the eye through the image but to lead the the eye through the image well done an image that has really grown on me the more I study it. |

Hi Rashid
This image so made me laugh I think its classic Greek sculpture meets Andy Warhol, I have to agree with the others just bring the highlights down a little but a great image that made me smile and thats what an image should do cause an emotion well done. |

John it was a total education for me I have known Terry for about 2 years he has always been very very generous with his help and advice is totally down to earth I did not beleive it when he asked me to join him for the day the meticulous care he takes with everything to the minutest detail was a real eye opener and above all as I say it was a total education for me. |

I so love this image the background superbly handled the main focus of the image superbly highlighted lovely contrast in the image an image many of us may have walked past my only thought maybe to maybe crop out or clone out the black area in the bottom left hand corner but a beautifully simple image with impact. |
