Hi Erik
Your settings were spot on really sharp and you stopped the action at the crucial moment I am in total agreement with Isaac on the crop and would have suggested the same myself it also focuses on the fantastic eye contact between the rider and the guy in the purple behind him and the 2 spectators on the left of Isaacs crop are looking straight at the action and lead the eye to the main subject 2 rodeo images in one month and both exceptional in my opinion well done. |

Hi David
Good luck and very best wishes in your new job we have all felt the same when starting something afresh knowing you as I do you will make it work.
As for the image I may be reading this wrong but its my interpretation and mine alone to me its dark and moody almost sinister my first reaction book cover for a thriller or murder mystery novel roses usually denote love and passion but yours say something darker to me that is not a criticism that is a compliment you have produced an image that had an instant reaction with me that made me think as the best images should do and if it was the cover for a book then it would be telling a story, love the image love the editing and treatment the only thing I would change if it were mine is I would just tone down slightly the bright area on the green leaf above the red rose it does attract my eye but its your image not mine all power to your imagination. |

Hi Guy
I was lucky enough to actually see your prints in person from your last London night shoot when you visited our club recently the digitals are superb but boy your prints really do take them to another level as already said your eye for architechtural images is up there with the very best the picture is beautifully balanced and composed the 3 shots have allowed you to keep wonderful detail in highlight and shadows and I look forward to seeing more from your shoot. |

Hi Isaac
All i can say is WOW this would be a difficult image to get in daylight but under the conditions you captured it amazing motion superbly illustrated by the sand flying around the horses legs the concentration on the face of the rider the rope lying loose in the air but about to be pulled tight this image for me has everything well done brilliant capture. |

Hi Joe
Well this one has caused some debate I'm in the keep the red frame as it is, normally this would be a massive distraction but the picture is so colourful and vibrant it does not overpower nor distract in my humble opinion, the figure may be central but in this case it works for me the tree works really well the branches into the top of the frame lead the eye through the picture for me a superbly composed image with lots of interest. |

Hi Paul
What a superb nature image worth the trip alone I would think beautifully sharp background totally free of distractions heightens the image for me and the shape of the branch is perfect fantastic capture a pleasure to see. |

Hi Ed
This image certainly suits mono and your 3 exposures have really enhanced the many textures on the barns the crop is also very good as it shows the enviroment around the barns and how nature is reclaiming them well done. |

Hi John
power lines the curse of all photographers another good spot I actually like the treatment you have given it there are some strong shapes in the pylons and network of wires I was wondering if you cropped in and made into a portrait layout rather than a landscape if that would add a bit more impact. |

Hi Arfan
I just wanted to say how atmospheric your image is the low harsh morning light giving fantastic contrast the background beautifully muted to add real focus on your subject and a mono image was the only way to go brilliant image. |
