4 Nov 18 Reply Hi David its the first thing that came into my head when I saw the image so for me anyway you told a story and took me back to my childhood so your image conveyed a very strong place of being a sign your image had impact and place and as already stated a superb image. Nov 20th

4 Nov 18 Comment Hi Erik
Another image of your back roads exploring I would really love to join you and Betty Sue on one of these trips you find such fascinating things to photograph.
It looks like the middle of the day so the HDR was the perfect way to capture these beautiful buildings I love the subtle hues of the buildings the colours work really well together for me and the sky with those few wispy clouds just adds the final touch and adds superb contrast to the image beautifully handled and composed more from this road trip please.

4 Nov 18 Comment Hi david
Wow again you show us something completely different you thought on your feet tried something original and for me it so works you could have taken us back to the psychadlia of the 60's for me it has fantastic impact and remember in Internationals the judges only see the image for a few seconds so a strong impact can be very very rewarding.
I also see the skull mask and cropping down takes away the that effect so for me its perfect as it is.
Keep those creative juices and ideas flowing I absolutely love this.

4 Nov 18 Comment Hi Guy
It was absolutely fantastic for me to finally meet you and Paula at Hoylake and boy have you encroached on my territory my 2 favourite pieces of architecture in Liverpool the staircase in the Museum of Liverpool one of which won me a gold medal last year and Liverpool Central library I was lucky to be invited to the opening night of the Library after all the redevelopement about 3 years ago and it blew my mind I so hope you visited the Picton reading room which was completely refurbished and laid out as it was when the library opened around 1860.Seriously it is an honour to have the "Stairs Master" point his lens at one of our staircases I imagine they will have a plaque in place to comemorate your visit.
As for the image knowing the building so well it is a beautifully intimate close up of a small section of the stairs which leads up to a stunning dome and roof terrace pictures of the library have done really well for me in photo travel so you should have 50 acceptances, the reflections do not bother me as knowing how light and bright the interior is and the amount of shiny surfaces you have captured it in all its glory well done and thanks for your fantastic talk at Hoylake on the Friday night.

4 Nov 18 Comment Hi Bill
A great composition not only showing the tree but also the surrounding enviroment which to me tells a story. The bright blue sky and vibrant green of the leaves really compliment one another so glad you went back into your archive to share this one with us.

4 Nov 18 Comment Hi Isaac
What a stunning landscape image the colours are superb as already stated beautifully composed shutter speed spot on as said the cloud formation is perfect everything just fell into place but it takes a man with a good eye to take advantage of the conditions and produce such a quality image hope you have printed it and have it on the wall I would.

4 Nov 18 Comment Hi Joe
Sounds like a fantastic trip, as you know I love shapes in pictures,I think the crop is perfect as already said the colours so compliment one another and the Isaac flip also works for me (Is the Isaac flip similar to the Fosberry flop ?) Great image well handled and beautifully composed.

31 Nov 18 Comment Hi Ella
Wow what a stunning portrait I can see why you have had such fantastic success in the PSA Individual portrait comps,as already said you have captured so well the hard life this man has endured its a portrait that tells a story superbly edited and presented I might try actually just dodging the eyes slightly as they are in the shade of the hat but that as Peter said may well be nit picking or as Paul said and I as thought his blindness may cause that effect whichever well done.

31 Nov 18 Comment Hi Paul
Beautiful landscape tonal range perfect throughout you chose your position really well as the composition flows an image to be proud of.

31 Nov 18 Comment Hi Ed
Living on a peninsula I know just how angry the sea can be so I think it would have been a good idea as Peter said if you had the time it might have been worth waiting around a bit to see if you could capture the waves crashing over the rocks but you have still captured the energy and intensity of the water very well I agree with others about the contrast uplift but I see you have already dealt with that and i do like the tighter crop you have applied.

31 Nov 18 Comment Hi Rashid
I agree with Ella a slight crop from the top but an interesting image the sheep are not all huddled together you have managed to get a seperation and each of the animals are individually visible no mean feat with a flock of sheep, the poles and road sign to me are an important part of the image,an image that makes you think about are the sheep on the move up the road or as you say found freedom?

31 Nov 18 Reply Of course not John just glad you had a good break. Nov 14th
31 Nov 18 Comment Hi John
I wish I knew you were visiting Southport I might have been able to get over and meet you for an hour or so.
I know the bridge well you have chosen your spot well and that sky is superb and you took full advantage of it always love the low to high angle it gives power to an image my only suggestion if you do work on give just a touch of contrast but again your keen eye has been rewarded with a superb image.

31 Nov 18 Comment Hi Peter
This image so portrays the power of these falls you can almost here the noise of the water crashing down the falls,as always superbly edited I think your re-edit really draws your eye straight to the water another masterclass in landscape photography.
