4 Sep 18 Reply Well said Erik its an honour to be part of such a close and talented group of photographers who have never held back in passing on advice and critique that informs and does not deride. Sep 25th
4 Sep 18 Reply Hi David I echo all your comments ,but please don't forget in your short time with the group you have imparted some fantastic help and information to us all, long may this group keep together. Sep 25th
4 Sep 18 Comment Hi Erik
I think the rest of the group have covered everything I wanted to say its a beautifully detailed image the background is superbly handled and makes the dragonfly stand out wonderfully good luck in your future endeavours but be careful in those nooks and crannies.

4 Sep 18 Comment Hi David
Firstly your regret is evident at not winning the comps you entered but you said you love the photo for me as a"photographer" the most important thing on my wish list is to take pictures that give me pleasure if someone else likes the image as well that is a wonderful bonus I shoot for my own pleasure and i think you do the same all power to your shutter finger. As soon as I saw the image I thought superb like me big building shoot low to high emphasise the strength of the building but by standing back from it you have included the enviroment in which it stands and shown the viewer more which is informative .The leading line is very very powerful and takes you straight to the feature of the image I love the people they add depth and scale and being so far back and in silhouette do not detract in fact for me they add to the image, the rails are a great frame for the image and hold the eye in the picture I love it you love it the group do Happy days oh nearly forgot the sky does have to be cropped as the other group members have suggested it tightens it beautifully.More please.

4 Sep 18 Comment Hi Guy
I love the energy in this image I love the under saturated colours in your image it fits the atmosphere but there is also a strong case for the mono image I like both it is brilliantly seen, brilliantly captured and superbly produced.

4 Sep 18 Comment Hi Bill
Firstly many many congratulations on your HM so well deserved for a superbly put together video which I so enjoyed watching.
As for the image the vibrancy of the colours just so suits the art work the composition is top drawer everything is in the perfect place to lead the viewer into the picture then around superb image you should be so proud of.

4 Sep 18 Reply Many thanks Bill will remedy that. Sep 9th
4 Sep 18 Comment Hi Isaac
What a great spot I must agree with the others and found the surroundings a distraction which is a pity as the focus should be on the shadows and the bikes love the second version, you could even give it a go in mono it may surprise you how it really stands out, well seen love it.

4 Sep 18 Comment Hi Joe
Great to see another of your images from the trip to Ireland, the lead in and perspective are spot on I like Isaacs change to your reflection otherwise I would change nothing I love the clarity of the water at the bottom left an idyllic image.

31 Sep 18 Reply Hi Ed thanks for your kind words, the white stroke is the border around the edge of the picture Sep 16th
31 Sep 18 Comment Hi Ella
Wow what a superb image especially considering the conditions it was taken in I have been very fortunate to do a lot of flying in the U.K. in small single engined aircraft and I know how they are constantly moving and buffeted especially over high ground so this makes the image even more remarkable and through plexiglass which is usually scratched.Everything flows for me in this image the tonal range and editing are top class an amazing image under difficult circumstances beautifully presented.

31 Sep 18 Comment Hi Paul
I like the context of the image the semi circle of the moon and the semi circle of the wheel sit well together but I find like the others the whites are a little overpowering and a stroke would so help but great idea.

31 Sep 18 Comment Hi Ed
Well seen lots of lines leading you through the image good textures on the fencing, but like Ella and Peter I do think it needs a contrast boost Peter has done a great job in just giving it some depth well seen and well done.

31 Sep 18 Comment Hi Rashid
I can only back up what my fellow group members have said so far this is such a powerful image the shape of the hand and the positioning of the fingers tell a story without a face to give that away this is a very very emotive and special image many congratulations for you acheived what you set out to do and more.

31 Sep 18 Comment Hi John
I agree with Peter most would have photographed the whole bridge but you have obviuosly studied it and found a great combination of shapes and which go well together an intimate image keep those eyes peeled John well done.

31 Sep 18 Comment Hi Peter
For me you have captured the power, magnitude and the energy of these falls I can almost hear the noise of the water crashing down the whites are exquistly handled this is a tour de force of an image.
