Hi Erik
I see what you mean about the wild flowers they make a stunning backdrop you did a fantastic job with the depth of field the angle of the prairie dogs is perfect and has been said you could add many a caption to this image but for me another top nature image from not only a superb photographer but someone who knows and understands his subject and that really shows in all your nature images. |

Hi david
Firstly David many, many congratulations on your Judges Award for this spectacular image it was very much deserved.
I look at this image and do you know what I see,I see a 1950's style poster and beleive me that is meant as a compliment you did a fantastic job removing the background distractions if you had not told me I would never have known this work had been carried out great editing,I like Isaacs crop but I also very much like the original this is a top image I would keep entering in competitions as it really really stands out and is totally original well done and I hope you show us some more of this shoot at the fair. |

Dr Staircase strikes again and long may you continue to astound us with your amazing compositions of staircases,I have an 8mm Fisheye for my 70D and boy do I empathise with you about feet in pictures tilt it down slightly and you have to stand like a mime artist walking against gale force winds to keep the feet out.
Seriously Guy superb place to choose for your image as always spot on composition, tone and lighting and if you do take up Isaacs idea of a calender could I put my name down for an autogrpahed copy. |

Hi Isaac
The quality of nature images members of this group can produce never fails to amaze me the way you have managed to keep the bee so sharp is superb. As for the green background this just makes the bee stand out even more in my opinion a quite remarkable image. |

Hi Joe
As already stated a really strong leading line which carries the eye straight into the picture I love the way the zig zag of the walls in the picture lead eye throughout the image a great composition I might even crop out that bit of sky but whichever a superb landscape image. |

As always Guy many thanks for the tips and advice I must admit I did think it a distraction but wanted the image that size for the exhibition panel I love your edit and will most certainly do the same I have entered in one International so far it got a 13 so delighted with that by the way I am not sure if I have encroached on your territory but my Group 31 image this month is a staircase forgive me. |

Hi Isaac
Many thanks for your kind words, the object at the bottom is the top of his very elaborate walking cane I agree it is a distraction thank you for the crop advice and as always taken onboard. |

Hi Ella
Are you ever at home boy you have done some travelling in the last 12 months and I for one have so enjoyed seeing your wonderful images from far afield.
I really like the composition of this image the boat pointing into the frame the sky has great depth and seems to be moving in the same direction as the bow of the boat which really makes the eye travel through the picture the coastline behind the boat and the headland to the right just keep your eye focused on the main subject superb tones through out this will do very very well for you. |

Hi Ed
Pretty much as the others really love the spiders web really adds to the story and the impact of the image the toning does not worry me my only concern is the dark shape in the background it just takes my eye past the main subject remove that and I think you have a very powerful image that asks questions well seen. |

Hi John
I can't say why but there is something that keeps drawing me back to look at this image, highlights and shadows really well handled,I think the taller houses really break up the uniformity and that adds real interest into the image its growing and growing on me great spot as always John. |

The master of composition strikes again the v shape of the hills in the background so compliment the inverted v shapes on the roofs of the buildings below the textures in the old buildings are superbly captured and the old and the new sit comfortable side by side you have captured the desolation brilliantly. |
