This is the beauty of the Group comments are always constructive and helpful and as I have said before I look on this more as a family than a group of photographers you all helped me through some very dark times not so long ago when my daughter was ill. |

Hi Erik
If ever a picture summed up the joys of not using the main roads and going down the back roads this is it I bet your eyes popped out of your head when you came across this the stays, cables etc don't bother me as to me they are an integral part of the scene and guide the eye around the picture the colours are beautifully handled and the textures on the bus have really popped with the HDR treatment 20 mins isn't to bad my wife will tell you I can spend half hour just wandering around something like this before I even get the camera out.My only concern as Guy and David have already said I appear to be getting a touch of ghosting on the left hand side .Hope there are more to come from this trip. |

Hi David
Since you have joined the group you have in your short time introduced us to several techniques I had no idea about you really are contributing and teaching me certainly new techniques which I so appreciate this could so be 60's psychadelia to do well in an International an image needs instant impact and boy you have acheived that with this image an explosion of colour as already said you turned an ordinary portrait into one with the WOW factor all power to your creativity and above all thank you for sharing not only your work but how you arrive at the finished piece. |

Hi Bill
Well this most certainly grabs your attention I love the contrast of the oranges against the deep blue sky I also like the splash of green running through the picture breaking up the mainly orange scene the editing has brought out fantastic detail and texture in the rocks and trees when I fist saw it my first thought was it looks almost like a drawing from a Comic book that is mean't as a compliment not a criticism, something totally different that really grabs the attention. |

Hi Isaac
I also hadn't clicked on the clock theme but for me it was so different I just liked it from the outset its different the original shot is so well seen then the after thought of filling the spaces is brilliant I love it as something different and original all power to your innovation but whatever you do don't flip it. |

Hi Joe
Not only a really interesting shape but a great surface which has been really well handled on an obviously bright day with such a reflective surface.I like the original image and I think David has done a great job with the mono edit both have their merits so I think you have a 2 in 1 image. The surface of this building so reminds me of a building in the Bullring in the centre of Birmingham U.K.
Well spotted,composed and edited. |

Hi David
thanks for your comments, regarding the white area mentioned this was made from some sort of lightweight material and was depicting some form of styled armour plating it was very reflective and I think the flash has really taken the detail out of it I could have reduced the highlights right down but as I started editing I realised this image to me would suit almost a high key edit I went for it but a great spot and I may well have a look at it but the exhibition image has gone to manufacture like this so when I get it back I will check closely. |

Hi Ella
I am glad you are going to these events and taking portraits they have done so well for me,firstly I want to agree with Peter you have done a fantastic job on the background it really makes the subject the main focus but also adds to the image really well done Ella, the tones throughout are spot on the pose is most definately regal, lighting beautifully handled and for me just enough of the clothing to show that this man had standing was someone important which adds to the story, a superb portrait Ella hope you got some more at the event it is a sure fire competition entry good luck with it. |

Hi Paul
The first thing that strikes me when I look at this image is the great depth you have captured that is acheived by really good composition and the way the pictured is layered/stepped you have the water just right for me a superb landscape well seen and superbly produced. |

Hi Ed
I am with everyone else in my comments I love textures and shapes and geometry in images so this ticks all the boxes for me light and shade beautifully handled as Peter says good detail in the darkest area adding lovely depth the angle of the shutter breaks the vertical lines and I especially like the missing plank at the bottom again breaking up the uniformity a very simple image superbly seen and presented well done. |

Hi John
As always you never fail to amaze me with what you spot I feel its a little flat and the highlights a touch hot I have just upped the contrast a bit and burnt the highlights in a bit though this was only done quickly and some of the highlights still need a touch more work the top left hand corner is a little bright so I popped a vignette on as well, keep seeking out those shots most of us would never notice John. |

Hi Peter this is so up my street (no pun intended) I love street art and this is exceptional the way the artist has used the shape and angles to promote the work is brilliant "a pure record shot" your words not mine I think it is an outstanding capture and edit and shows the artists skill to the maximum I would most certainly have this on my wall at home or better still get the artist to come paint my house.
I have just spent a weekend at the Liverpool contrast Festival where 30 of Europes best street artists were given a building to paint it was a privilege to watch them work. |
