Hi Bill
Many thanks for your kind words I only got chance to take a couple because I had to be at a pre photo shoot meet for 9 a.m. I left the black lines in because I had entered it in a photo travel comp so I can't remove anything for that and I got the news 2 days ago it won an acceptance so very happy about that. |

Hi David
Its my pleasure we are all here to offer opinions its for you to decide if you like what we say or do because the most important thing is its your image and you know what you want it to portray I always feel a little uneasy making changes to someones image its only a suggestion but I think this is a very very good image it shows the depth of winter but the colour in the leaves depicts that there are better times ahead with spring on the way I really look forward to seeing more of your work. |

Hi Isaac
Another superb nature image the birds mainly white plumage against the darker background really makes it stand out and your eye goes straight to the subject the exposure is spot on all the whites show the feather detail and above all the image tells a story you really are the master of these shots. |

Hi David
Welcome to the Group I have been made so welcome by the members of this Group,I am with the rest of the Group I had to look this technique up so thank you for introducing us to this I really like this image the textured road is a great lead in, the trees leaning in towards the road not only add interest but also keep the eye on the road the fallen tree trunk bottom left is really well placed and adds to the atmosphere of the image the one thing I think is a little understated is the wonderful colours of the leaves which weave their way through the picture and I love that spark of colour I downloaded your image opened a hue saturation adjustment layer used the colour picker and selected the leaves and just eased up the saturation ever so slightly I also just dodged ever so slightly the centre of the road at the bottom third of the image its just my ideas its your image and a very impressive image I very much like I look forward to more from you. |

Hi Guy
On first viewing before reading your text I always do it that way round I was convinced it was a multi shot panorama you have done a great job and the crop suits the image perfectly I love the contrast between the stark bleakness of the background hillside and the range of subtle hues in the fore and mid ground the curves are a delight and the people the cherry on top of the cake brilliant landscape my fellow group members keep raising the bar. |

Hi Bill
I fell in love with this the first time I saw it if someone sent me this as a Christmas card it would take pride of place on my mantle shelf above the fire.I love the building on the left it is almost a ghost just visible and so works for me my only thought was, which has raised debate would be to crop down from the top slightly but hey whichever I love it. |

Hi Isaac
A wonderful mix of architecture and landscape which go together superbly the contrast between the almost stark bell tower and the serenity of the landscape in the background is astounding not seen anything quite like this before probably because its so hard to execute a magnificent image you should be very proud of. |

Hi Isaac
Firstly a very happy and peaceful New Year and to you and the Group members sorry I forgot to start my description with that.I was also worried about the 2 black lines which are reflections and fully understand your initial concerns I have just entered this image in a photo travel comp so although I did contemplate cloning them out but as it is entered in such a comp I would be breaking the rules of the comp by altering an image so that is the reason they remain. As aways Isaac your observations are greatly appreciated. |

Hi Ella
am glad you had some time to get a few photos while visiting your brother this is a very photogenic location although the light looks very strong and contrasty you have handled it really well and you have been rewarded with those fantastic deep shadows which really make the image pop for me as for the trees I am wondering if the file size reduction has made them look a little crunchy what I do like about them is the way the light is hitting the upper branches Rashid has hit on something I was thinking about if there could have been a person walking round the corner at the far side of the bridge walking out of shot that would have just been the final touch for me but a very striking image. |

Hi Paul
An image that makes me smile the mans happiness causes an emotion which is what all good images do I love the way you have captured the movement with the mans right foot raised off the ground and his left foot extended up the conditions do not need a title.Ella beat me to the question of how your equipment coped with the conditions a superb shot that I really like. |

Hi Ed
Like the others I think the toning takes away from the strength of the image which as you say is the tonal banding try removing the tone and possibly cropping down slightly from the top but well seen and I applaud the motive behind the image. |

The Group may remember last month I uploaded a portrait called "Tom" as my monthly image thanks to your positive feedback I entered it in my clubs (Hoylake Photograpic Society) monthly competition which was appropriately People it was entered as a mono print 16 x 12 inches and won me first place and a cup so thanks for the positive feedback giving me the confidence to enter it. |

Hi Rashid
I love this very, very atmospheric it reminds me very much of one your earliest uploads to the Group taken in a snooker or billiard hall, the image is a little grainy which for me just adds to the atmosphere I might as Peter says just tone the light down slightly on the door at the far end but not remove the door as it adds to the story for me it is the destination of the nurse and what lies behind the door like all good images it asks questions well done Rashid I really like this image. |

Hi John
nicely composed the rock in the foreground gives real depth to the image the trees create a wonderful backdrop I love the shapes and the way they lean obviously being pushed that way by years of battering from strong winds the mid ground has great texture and leads the eye from the rock to the trees very cleverly I agree with Peter I thought it just lacked a touch of contrast to give it a lift if you go with Peters ideas I think you have a very strong landscape image, well seen John. |

Hi Diana
I love the pose and the facial expression its superb I also thought the hand against the arch was very bright and attracted my attention just try lowering the highlights either by selection or with a layer mask and I think you have a fantastic portrait. |
