Hi Erik
Its always a pleasure to see your nature images and this is superb and I would certainly keep entering it,its pin sharp detail throughout the bright white feathers, background superbly out of focus and I really like the lighter green areas in the background the crop is perfect and you have caught the height of the engagement between the 2 birds its a winner for me but what do I know I'm not a judge. |

Hi Bill
Sounds like a great project and as open spaces are lost to developements so quickly a valuable record and archive as already said a great time of day for recording the lake I like the colours and toning the canopies add interest and depth to the image keep on with the project.

Hi Guy
I agree with you this has real impact and atmosphere as a mono image and I think good be a great location for a model shoot.I agree with Isaac just toning the highlights down slightly especially around the inner section of the window but I love the way the light has caught the branches of the trees behind especially the branches above which are very random and create a great effect this would make a great front cover for a horror story very atmospheric image well composed and handled. |

Thanks for that info Guy I did wonder and as Isaac said thought there must be a way of changing it from the inside see what happens when you put 2 and 2 together you get the wrong answer just coincidence they chose the day the clocks go back. |

Hi Bill
The lighting looks so strong and contrasty HDR was the only way to go you did a great job the composition for me is perfect I particularly like the lighting on the the station building and I am fascinated by the siding on the right of the image with the red bridge over it,as for the blue debate I thought initially the shadows did look a little blue but I think on studying closer they compliment the strong yellows in the image I agree with Bill this is a must for one of the pages of your calendar great image with so much to see and reflect upon. |

Hi Isaac
I have seen pictures of this amazing site before but this image really brings home as Guy says just how narrow the entrance is I do not mind the people as importantly they give a sense of scale to the scene I like Guys adjustments I think they make the image pop a memory of what must have been a fantastic experience. |

Hi Ella
You have really captured the delicacy of the flower and the raindrops really do add to the picture I agree with Peter I would also just darken the top right hand side of the image well seen and well edited another great image from your trip to Iceland. |

Hi Paul
Great background nothing to distract from the subject of the image the rim lighting is superb and the eyes are as sharp as his claws about the discussion over the brightness of the face was there something reflective in front of him like a large light coloured rock etc that was reflecting the strong light back towards him I actually like it as it is it adds real focus on the face a superb animal study that deserves to do well for you. |

Hi Rashid
I like shapes in pictures so this sits very well with me and well seen and composed I did think it looked a little flat and love what Ella has done with it,its a simple image and one I find pleasing to the eye. |

Hi John
You promised you would re visit the waterfall and you did I like the speed of the water there is still detail as well as movement I also like the way you have framed the leaves on the left hand side I like Pauls crop and as all the others have noted a boost in contrast would really give it a pop great location I am sure there are plenty more visits to be enjoyed there in the future John. |

Hi Ella
Thanks for your comments I did think about lightening the other side of the face but the way the lighting was hitting the face I thought it looked a little un natural thanks as always for your suggestions. |

Hi Peter
Its not an optical illusion Tom is very very slim and I think his bushy beard adds to the effect but it did strike me as well that his head looks too big for his body but his artistry with things thrown away by people is beyond beleif he had a large sculpture of a horse made of scrap metal that was breath taking and a lobster made from old pliers a very very creative man. |
