Hi Erik
I think you have captured the relaxed mood of the area really well,I am not sure if I am turning into Isaac or just a convert but as I studied the photo I thought this would look even stronger flipped and err yes the master beat me to it,I feel the 3 people on the bench are a real strong point of interest and are looking towards the man and the way the harbour wall curves away takes you through the rest of the image and I feel this is shown better flipped, well composed and you really get a flavour of the relaxed atmosphere of the town. |

Hi Bill
When I looked at it I thought it looks like an impressionist painting I then read the so it works,I love the strength of the colours i love the broken diagonal seperating the the colours the greens break up the yellows nicely to me a masterpiece, if you are going to print it choose a fine art canvas paper and it could end up in a gallery in Paris.
Love it. |

Hi Guy
Is Joe right they only appear in Utah did you construct this yourself to create the image ? Seriously a great subject for IR and the perfect sky to compliment this form of photography, the contrast is superb and you have done well to keep detail in the dark areas at that time of day in bright sunshine in such an exposed area.I like the original and Isaacs crop they both have great strength. |

Hi Bill
I love shooting high to low with buildings and this is a fantastic example great angle and the colours all compliment one another I especially like the blue sky reflections running up the right side of the windows of the right hand building the crane does not bother me as I think it links the 2 buildings all I might suggest with the crane is desaturate the red crane cab.
A superb image well deserving of its top marks. |

Hi Joe
a picture within a picture well composed, cropped for me in just the right place I love the textures in the weathered sill really works for me,I know we are not discussing the original but I really like that as well especially the way the flowers add a wonderful base to the main image I think you have 2 that will do well for you. |

Hi Ella
Maybe its me but I really like this image the photo needed something and the lady provided that something also she is not looking straight at the camera which makes it more powerful the walkway leads you straight to the subject then curves away behind her to take the eye through the picture the trees on both sides frame the image nicely and no distractions in the well handled background do not distract I really like this image well done Ella. |

Hi Paul
For me this is a top portrait the toning compliments it perfectly you have captured the man in deep thought or contemplation the detail throughout is outstanding and the background free from detail allows the eye to concentrate purely on the subject, as for the hat clipping I have noticed in recent portrait competitions there is a movement towards very tight crops and clipping so this may make the image even more in vogue.
This is as good a portrait as I have seen for a long time it deserves to do well for you. |

Hi Rashid
I really like this portrait I like the mans expression the umbrella makes a good backdrop and the raindrops on the umbrella show the conditions I was also going to suggest a crop to the very edge of the umbrella as the sky is very flat and bright and does take the eye but a portrait that I think captures the man really well. |

Hi John
Another good spot from you you have retained the details in the shadows really well great textures and contrast a powerful diagonal my only negative comment as with Peter and Paul I would just pull the light area in slightly otherwise a great spot well handled. |

Hi Peter
I think you made the best of a bad weather day,I love the atmosphere created in the image by the dramatic sky and the low cloud just touching the top of the hill my only slightly negative observation I find my eye continually drawn to the ice in the foreground due to its brightness this may just be me as always great textures and tones but I just find my eye wandering back to the bright area in the foreground. |

Hi Charles
I just wanted to congratulate you on a stunning depiction of the Dahlia beautifully toned throughout the central part of the flower perfectly detailed and the saturation looks totally natural the background so compliments the main subject I would lessen the border to a single 2 pixel white stroke so as to keep the eye fully focused on the main image but a photo to be proud of congratulations.
