4 Mar 17 Comment Hi Erik
Its thanks to you and photographers like you I get the opportunity to see birds like this I love you have captured its enviroment as well the bird is beautifully placed in the frame anywhere else it would have been lost in the background a fantastic nature image I enjoyed seeing.

4 Mar 17 Comment Hi Bill
It does look a little soft close up but stand back from it slightly and boy does it have impact its just a joy of colour and shape as already commented on a very relaxing and dreamy image Bill sadly that rose will not last for long in the hallway why not make a print frame it and hang it on the wall of your hallway it would look fantastc.

4 Mar 17 Comment Hi Guy
I love images like this I took a similar one in Liverpool last year you have jogged my mind to open it up and take a look at it.I love the contrast in the bright floor and the dark surroundings they really make the eye focus on the centre of the image the slow shutter speed is perfect and adds wonderful motion,I also love the contrast between her deep blue jacket and the bright red of the seat. This is a very very successful image in my eyes and one I think will do extremely well for you .I would certainly hang it on my wall.

4 Mar 17 Reply Thanks Diana I have done a further edit to this since adding a comet and some stars I learn from the best at HPS and this group of superb photographers. Mar 21st
4 Mar 17 Comment Hi Bill
Another fantastic nature image this group has such talented nature photographers thats why I leave it to the experts as already stated the whites are beautifully held with rich detail and the darker greens of the background really make the bird stand out and the red berries do not overpower they add great contrast.I have been using the Expodisc 2 for a couple of years I check I have that in my bag before I check the camera is in there I find it invaluable.

4 Mar 17 Comment Hi Isaac
I can only echo what the rest have the group have already said its an outstanding nature study I love the fact you have captured the bird in flight carrying the snail shell and the background is so beautifully controlled so you are focused totally on the bird but can still see the enviroment, about as good as it gets for me.

4 Mar 17 Comment Hi Joe
I really like this the smoke really adds to the image it really captures the atmosphere I can almost smell that meat cooking the angle is perfect and a great recession again created by the smoke the more you look at this image the more you see really well done especially considering the conditions and the high ISO.A brilliant photo travel/journalism image.

31 Mar 17 Reply Hi Rashid unfortunately I had no choice over the background it was deemed by the organisers this is where they wanted the Star Wars group so the maximum amount of people could see them so the background had to be created in post processing rather than on location which I would have preferred. It was my choice to make it look illustrative because a lot of these guys like this sort of editing and I always send a copy to the people kind enough to pose for me. 31 Mar 17 Comment Hi Ella
Wonderful to see an image from this trip I know you were so excited to be going at it looks like it lived up to expectations. The lighting looks very strong and contrasty so you did a great job getting such an evenly toned image I love the the textures on the elephant you have managed to capture, as already stated the elephant really stands out against the out of focus background but there is still enough detail to show the animals enviroment.I hope we will see more images from this wonderful trip well done.

31 Mar 17 Reply Hi Rashid I would just have darkened it slightly still a very very atmospheric image. Mar 15th
31 Mar 17 Comment Hi Paul
You have absolutely nailed this shot beautifully sharp, textures on the tree beautifully captured and the out of focus background really heightens the image.Beautiful image well done.

31 Mar 17 Comment Hi Rashid
Another quality image from you in difficult lighting really well handled I love the rim lighting around the people the high to low angle makes this image really stand out and give it emphasis and most importantly it tells a story top photojournalism,my only observation the lady in the very background does attract the eye I would just darken the light areas slightly on her but a photo I have really enjoyed seeing well done.

31 Mar 17 Comment Hi John a beautiful landscape I love the way you have composed it with the highest points of the 2 hills tight to the edges of the frame and drawing the eye to centre as has already been mentioned there are a couple of areas in the sky that are a bit bright you might try dropping the highlights in RAW also I think the sky is so powerful you could even crop up from the bottom as much as you feel looks good and it would make the sky even more powerful and dominating.A beautifully composed image that just needs a couple of small tweeks. Mar 12th
31 Mar 17 Comment Hi Peter
Its the composition that makes this for me the crosses in the foreground fill what would have been a dead space and have allowed you to photograph a wider vista, the rockface sweeps down directly behind the church and leads the eye to the low wall which takes the eye back to the church to me a perfect composition and also an extremely atmospheric image I think you have another award winning image on your hands congratulations.

31 Mar 17 Reply Many thanks John I appreciate all you do for the Group. Mar 8th
31 Mar 17 Reply Thanks John, honestly not a Wax work I am waiting for confirmation but I beleive it is a young lady behind the mask so the hands as already stated by the other Group members are a membrane or glove of some sort. Mar 8th
31 Mar 17 Reply Hi Peter as always thank you for your observations I did send the thumbnail in there must have been a problem loading it.The hands worried me as well, as the hands were in front of the body the flash caught them quite harshly and they were very bright and to me were a distraction so I burnt them in I think as you rightly say a little to much I will re-visit this and find a a better toning for them as always your observations and comments are very much appreciated if you are interested I uploaded another Star Wars shot from the same event to Group 04.
