Hi Erik
I love the tones in this image you have handled them beautifully the background frames the bird really well and shows the enviroment without overpowering the main subject. As Guy has said the whites are perfect which could not have been easy in what look like very bright contrasty colours.A really well handled and pleasing nature study well done. |

Hi Bill
I think the others have covered everything I agree with everything especially the amazing clarity did you use a tripod? I think the light vignette really enhances the beautiful colours of the orchid very well captured and a pleasure to view. |

Hi Guy
I think you have done superbly in the middle of the night with a very bright light, the highlights in the wall, foliage and windows from the single lamp give it tremendous definition it really takes you back in time or that is the impression you have created with this image beautifully handled and presented I most certainly can't fault it.I did wonder if a very slight sepia tone might give it an extra touch of authenticity but being a night shot I don't think it would, I can see this doing really well for you. |

Hi Bill
I love the depth and recession you have managed to create in this image, the strong foreground stands out beautifully but the misty outlines carry the eye into the background and the Spanish moss in the mist makes the image almost abstract an image you should be rightly proud of and one which I have so enjoyed viewing. |

Hi Isaac
I love the sharpness and detail you have managed to capture, the feather detail is beautiful, tonally the brown plumage of the birds and the green background really compliment one another and as already stated the icing on the cake is capturing the bird with the snail a wonderful nature image. |

Hi Joe
Great capture I love the arm movement of the lady on the right emphasising what she is saying and the intensity and concentration of the lady listening really makes this image an image should tell a story and ask a question you have managed both an intriguing image I really like.well spotted and taken. |

Hi Peter as always thanks for your observations every year Thomas does something different he usually climbs on top of it balances it then plays away for several minutes never missing a note he is a true entertainer as well as a great bass player much in demand locally. |

Hi Ella
I think this works so well in monochrome the tonal range is fantastic giving the lily depth and structure the droplets are the final masterstroke.Enjoy the lillies while you have them but this image is forever. |

Hi Paul
I love the way you have presented this image the suggestion that the mother is there but concentrating on the youngster makes it more powerful and intimate to me a really well seen and captured image I very much enjoyed seeing. |

Hi Anu
Language is immaterial you captured the essence of the protest with this shot and that is what good photojournalism does you look at the picture and it tells a story mission accomplished well done.My only observation the man holding the placard his forehead is quite bright just try bringing the highlight slider in a bit and it may well reveal more detail.Very well seen and documented image I would love to see more. |

Hi Rashid
As the other members of the group know I love shapes and geometry in images this for me is a real treat, the person in the foreground adds depth and scale to the image, the contrast is outstanding I prefer it with the darker floor it adds greater contrast to the slabs but thats only my personal view the spot on the first pillar has been mentioned already by Paul sometimes we get to close to our own work and miss the obvious thats why these groups are so good I have missed something like that myself to have it pointed out by a group member to me thats a benefit.Great image I really like. |

Hi John
I love the sweep in this image rising from the left and expanding through the frame,a really good sky helps this as well lovely detail in the forest and textures on the mountains I agree with Ella and Paul I would remove the buoy as for the sharpening its on the limit but that may well be caused by reducing the image size for this page.I was wondering if a slight crop up from the bottom just to take out some of the black patches on the waters surface in the foreground as I find my eye attracted to them or maybe just dodged down a touch on a seperate layer.A lovely landscape image you should be proud of and one I enjoyed looking at. |

Hi Peter
Hope you are having/had another successful but safe trip to Iceland as you said very similar to a previous post this possibly has a bit more sky in it if the memory serves but again another superb capture from this beautiful location I love the sweep of the mountains in the background and the way the cross is positioned to add foreground interest. As Paul and Ella have already said there does look to be a build up of noise on the right hand side. |
