Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
4 Jan 17 Comment Many thanks Guy as already stated the halos will be dealt with and will darken the sky slightly there are about 12 small boats in all on this stretch just abandoned and returning to nature such a shame I bet this one was a bit of a looker in her prime.
Again many thanks Guy.

4 Jan 17 Comment Hi Erik
Think I would not have been able to control camera shake if I had been this close to a viper, not only for me a great nature image but an educational one I had never heard of nor seen a picture one of these before. As the others have said the head appears to be a little soft but you have already explained that.I love the contrast of the colour of the snake to the background well seen and well captured Erik.

Many thanks as always the halo's need dealing with if you check out group 31 you can see a mono image of the same boat from a different angle.

4 Jan 17 Comment Hi Bill
I love the way the lights stand our against the dark surroundings it almost makes them 3D the reflections add depth to the image I did find the very top slightly distracting so I put a quick grad filter on the very top to darken it slightly but that still left 2 pair of legs showing slightly so I cloned them out I dropped the highlights slightly and upped the midtone contrast a touch did this quickly so probably not the best.To me its a fun image with depth and I would love to see a colour shot of lights in the evening if you can get back there when the lights are lit.

4 Jan 17 Comment Hi Guy
A really strong mono image composition and and tone are spot on the detail retained in the whites in such a strong sun are exceptional, the polariser has worked a treat darkening the sky. Santa brought me a polariser for Christmas and I am itching o use it but the sky default colour at the moment seems to be dark grey.
An image I love and one you should be very proud of.

4 Jan 17 Comment Hi Bill
I love seeing textures in images and this really fits the bill for me (no pun intended) it really stands out against the darker background you might even consider cropping down from the top even more but whichever a memorable image.

4 Jan 17 Comment Hi Isaac
As a dedicated aviation photographer panning is a major part of my work and I must compliment you on your panning.I love the motion on the water and horses legs the colours are spot on and the background colours really contrast so well with the silhouettes an image I really like.

4 Jan 17 Comment Hi Joe
I love the colours they compliment one another beautifully textures really well handled and for me the reflections are the icing on the cake an image that would just give you a lift on a dark dreary day.

31 Jan 17 Reply Many thanks Guy for taking the time to look and comment as always your input very much appreciated as you said the flip really makes the picture work this has been done and really improved it. Jan 27th
31 Jan 17 Comment Hi Anu
I don't think I could sum it up any better than John has already done but to summise an intriguing image that poses as John says many questions the more I have looked at it the more I like it keep on intriguing us with your great observations.

31 Jan 17 Comment Hi Ella
A really sympathetic edit which for me gives the image a sense of a French impressionist painting I love the contrast the wet pavement gives to the base of the image I think this will do really well for you and put you on the way to more stars it deserves to.

31 Jan 17 Comment Hi Paul
A compelling image beautifully lit with strong catchlights in the eyes,I was wondering if an even tighter crop from the right might make the image even stronger.

31 Jan 17 Reply Sorry Peter replied in the wrong place I love the flip and will certainly do this it really does add the finishing touch to the picture really appreciate your edit. Jan 8th
31 Jan 17 Reply Thanks Rashid I will definately return to this site and take note of your advice as I say the trip was cut very short because of my slip. Jan 8th
31 Jan 17 Comment Hi Rashid
Firstly a very warm welcome to the group and a very happy New Year to you and your family.
I love the moodiness and atmosphere in this image it could have been a screen shot from an old black and white movie the grain really adds to the effect for me,the positioning of not only the picture on the back wall but the character within the the picture really adds to the effect and as Ella and Pater have already said the contact and movement in the balls is the finishing touch great image really well handled.

31 Jan 17 Comment Hi John
A really well seen viewpoint which has given you a great composition lots of texture in the foreground which I really like the large rock formation on the left leads the eye straight at the lighthouse in the distance I have just burnt the the headland the lighthouse stands on a little and dodged a few of the deep shadows in the foreground but a really well seen image I really like.

31 Jan 17 Comment Hi Peter
A very happy New Year, the composition of this image is exceptional I love the almost zig zag lines of the trees in the foreground which grab the eye and lead you through the whole foreground leading to the towering peaks again the lines of the mountains take the eye around the background not only very well composed but very atmospheric a very powerful landscape.
