Correct, Karl. I completely understand the trade-off and the desire for greater detail. Ultimately, it's your artistic decision, and you're the best judge of which option to select. I still greatly appreciate the image |

My suggestion is just an option to be closer with that lens, (you can still focus) that will result a "bigger" bee in the image and in such case you'll need less cropping. |

Lauren, that's an excellent hummingbird shot. The results are excellent, especially considering you used ISO 25600. Regarding the noise on the body, Topaz currently handles noise reduction much more effectively than Lightroom. You might be pleasantly surprised by the results. The colors are also superb |

Karl, this is a superb picture. I absolutely love it. I agree with the others who suggested the black socks would look better as true black. You might also consider removing the very right piece - the white one that appears gray - to further refine the composition |

Judith, capturing a bee in such detail is really challenging, and you've done a great job getting those fine details on the body, especially considering the crop. I'm wondering, did you happen to be slightly outside the minimum focus distance of your lens? (I believe it offers around 0.4 of 1:1 magnification?) Have you considered cropping the image while preserving the existing background? This might potentially improve the appearance of the left wing and maybe give the overall image a more natural feel? |

Chris, I really like the shape of the sea anemone in that shot - it's quite striking. I have to say, it's impressive that you're able to capture such images at that depth and temperature. (Personally, below 30 feet, I'm usually so fascinated by the marine life that I just observe and can't focus on shooting). The image is great, you might consider increasing the clarity by 5 to 10 and perhaps adding a touch of texture to enhance the image |
