No it was not rotated.
I shot it as it is. |

Unfortunately, a glitch occurred with the original & I cannot correct it. As you will see it is on the side.
As a lover of trains this image struck a literal & figurative cord. The cropping at the base and the painted texture of the 2 blond women is excellent. There is just the right amount of painting in the conductor and his instrument. It is very effective. Your vignetting is the cherry on the top.
I love this painting. |

A lovely serene cove. The painted rocks are perfect but I can understand your difficulty with the foliage. To me the foreground grass & other foliage has lost all it features whereas the taller grass in the mid area on the right came out very well. |

Wow, what an unusual subject matter but magnificently handled.
I can see why you were both challenged and found enjoyable the painting of it.
The background is so much better than the original.
A great outcome. |

What a delightful subject you have. I love the intrigued look you captured on his face.
I am not familiar with the DAP filters but it has a very good painterly effect and strong brush strokes while still retaining the nice features of the boy's face.

Gerhard, for me personally I find your painting, especially of the red rocks a little to contrasty & saturated. Do you think it is possible to tone it down a little - unless you disagree with me.
I do really like the flowing water effect in the painting. |

Yes, the tonality is better now than the sharp contrast of the original.
It seems that you did something with her face because it has an extremely smooth appearance to it. |
