In essence you re-created an image. It would seem the vase is the only residual part of the original image. Thus I suppose one can categorize this image as your photo giving you a fresh idea to create a de novo image of a vase with branches against a good abstract contrasting background.
As such, it now becomes a wonderful painting.I think I might have preferred few colors in the background. Also I assume you used the white area behind the branches to highlight the latter, but somehow it stands out in an abnormal way for the pastel shades of the background. The vase, branches and leaves, including the fallen ones have great impact. |

You have successfully added more interest to the background by adding color.
I also like that you have removed the distracting highlight on the branch. However, I would overall darken the branch somewhat to make it stand out better from the background.
The hawk still retains enough reality & I like that. |

Jeanine you really went through an elaborate process to create this image with a wonderful final effect.
My favorite parts are the leaves with reflections on the lake and the dead foreground leaves.
A great fall season painting. |

It is a wonderful place.
I was there many years ago.
great old rusted cars and buildings.
You obviously chose a subject that few have access to.
I like the colorful artistic elements you added to the wheel. |

This was a great idea to eliminate the torso of the 4th elephant.
You did not explain your painting technique but it worked very well.
The background and the ripples in the water are especially very effective.
You have maintained a nice realism in the elephants. |

Pat, you took a very ordinary scene and creatively produced a wonderful image.
I really like your bright coarse paintbrush strokes. it looks like you stood in front of an easel and painted this. The texture on the bridge is great.
Well done |
