You did an enormous amount of manipulation in order to get the final image. And it was worth it. the little red figure makes the image beautifully framed by the trees.
The soft gently smooth effect overall certainly gives the impression of a peaceful winter scene.

I like particularly how effectively you kept the detail in the tulip flower itself and also so effectively improved the background.
This photo must be form a previous season! It is only in London where I have seen these in February & they are probably covered in snow today!
the snow flakes are very well rendered in the painting. |

A wonderful image to convert into a painting.
The backdrop certainly enhances the image. Was this backdrop available in Topaz or did you add it independently.
The other details in the photo also are much more interesting in the painting.
Nicely done. |

Gerhard this makes me want to go back on another safari! Still our best vacation of all - and it is on your doorstep!
Did you use only the painting tools of PS to create this?
The background is far more interesting in the painting and then the Springbok details in the painting are beautiful.
Well done! |

The painting gives a totally & surreal impression of a routine pier at dusk. The module you chose certainly "played interesting games" with both the sky (particularly) and the water.
Interesting how much more detail there is in the painting. |

Past,
I live in Boston. Which Church is this - in Copley Place?
the original is great as is the painting. I can see that in choosing the Detail module you have aimed at a minimal painterly effect.
I prefer the way the colors of the blanket are brought out in the painting.
It is a beautifully moving & poignant image.
Well done on both forms.
