Yes, I debated how much to leave in.
The paint on the original is part of the Hindu religion - the particular sect.
It was also related to the major festival that was being held at the time. |

I have taken quite a few of these images out West.
It seems to me you used a watercolor painting effect.
I feel the yellow abstraction of the leaves is too strong & would prefer a more photorealistic effect.
I like the trunks. |

Just perfect. the almost photo like quality of the tea server & the beautifully painted background with just the right amount of painting on the tea cups, makes this a winner for me. You eliminated the distractions of the original. |

You pursued a very complicated approach to produce the end result but it is worth it. What is striking to me & I like it very much since it has a strong impact, is to use your term "the Jigsaw puzzle effect which you kept just to the pond. it is very effective. I particularly like the right sided pond edge & the foreground |
